YANBU. I love it too. The thought of going back to work FT next week is ....yeuch!

hippipotami · 16/04/2008 23:14

So do I...

I am already developing that feeling of heaviness and dread in my heart because only 4 more sort days and then I lose the dc to school again.

So no, YANBU!

Daisysmiles · 18/04/2008 08:47

LMAO

I can't wait to send mine back...they are careering round my house like maniacs , killing each other, fighting at every opportunity..the weather is miserable here so we can't get outdoors to the park etc. All the indoor places are heaving with big kids...ARGHHHHHH

Only 3 days until school starts.....

In my opinion YABU

I love school hols too. Even though it gives me headaches using up too much holiday allowance for work..

moreJellothanJlo · 18/04/2008 08:53

I love it too but never get a break
do you get a break emkana?

OrmIrian · 18/04/2008 08:58

I agree. No packed lunches, no uniform, no homework, no dragging reluctants DS's out of bed at 7.30, no rushing around like a loon to get to work on time. And 3 relaxed, happy, well-rested children. Heaven.

SlartyBartFast · 18/04/2008 08:59

i love it too,
especially when the weather is good. and i love the spring.
but money is running out
and the house is a MESS.

BiancaCastafiore · 18/04/2008 09:02

I love it too and am not looking forward to grumpy children once they are back at school next week.
We have homework to do today and I know it'll break the holiday spell for all of us

OrmIrian · 18/04/2008 09:05

slarty - money has melted like snow I must admit. I had a bonus in last months payslip. DD's birthday present, party and the Easter hols have more or less taken care of that

mamablue · 18/04/2008 09:21

I love the school holidays. No school run, no lunch boxes etc. We can do what we like when we like, I love it!! Having said that, both dd1 and dd2 love school and really enjoy it. DD2, very bright, is starting to ask when they are going back. I just love having them to myself for a while. Good weather has helped. Lots of walks and trips to the park.
