to want my next dc to be a bit like me?

my ds who i love to bits is a miny dh looks nothing and i mean nothing like me and while he has his own little personality is very very like dh in almost every way the next own better have at least one trait of mine but i think dh has super genetics or something anyone elses dc`s miny clones of one parent or is it just me?

i know just what you mean amy...DS1 is a totally mini-dh and we heard nothing else from everybody (not least mil...)
DS2 and DD are mini-me which is incredibly scary, the boys see pics of me as a child and think it's DD personality wise i totally 'get' what they're thinking [often before they even think it] whereas i had to suss out ds1's personality.
you'll get the mini-u eventually.
I would have settled for a mix...but then again they would have only picked up all our worst bits

Ds1 is a mini-dh too. Ds2 is spookily almost a clone of my dad. Dd looks like a mixture of both of us.

I've often wondered if anyone else felt like this. I adore my DS but already I can see that he is nothing like me in looks or personality

id settle for a mix or even one thing be it a personality trait or a facial feature in next dc [we are ttc] but am imagining a house full of miny dh`s!i think it was ds showing me his "trick" of drinking milk and making himself belch he is 2.8 btw that i thought im so out numbered i need a miny me!some little nice polite creature like me in this house!

My DS2 looks soooo much like his dad that my DB said that I was merely a vessel for his genes

DD lucklily has the eyelashes of her father (wasted on a man I tell you, wasted) and his blue eyes, but not his stubble.

So there is hope for me, and you, yet

Oh, I don't know... my dd1 is the most like me (not that she would agree!) in looks and temprement, and she and I have the most difficult relationship because we are too alike and get on each others nerves!

thats odd jennifersofia as my mam and i are the image of each other and very alike and dont get on easily we are too alike!

DS is a mini DH, and seems to have the same personality (demanding) people try to be nice saying they see bits of me in him, but it's pretty much DH's face staring back at me when i look at him.

however, he has inherited one thing from me, my crap eyesight.
