Why do I do this to myself?

today I had a shit breakfast of sugary cereal, skipped lunch then ate:

a bag of pick and mic
a bag of popcorn
a bag of crisps
a bag of chocolate buttons
a chocolate bar

I didn’t even really enjoy any of it, I feel sick and my heart is racing. This happens every month or so and I swear I’ll never do it again.

Is your period due?

Is your period due?

Was going to ask the same. I have one day a month that I seem to lose all control and eat a lot of carby, sugary shite. Don’t even have sweet tooth normally.

Last month I ate two large bowls of crunchy nut cornflakes, two mini snickers bars and two bags of salt and vinegar crisps in the space of half an hour. Disgusting! Rest of the month I eat really well

Ha, I can’t believe I’ve never even thought of this- I came on today!

To make it even worse, I was booked into a gym class. And ate crap all afternoon instead.

Dunno I'm like this too. Sometimes I think its like a self loathing, self harm type thing.

BobbyBiscuits · 21/08/2024 17:12

Shit happens. Have a nice nutritious dinner once your nausea and sugar rush calms down.
I used to binge on junk on a daily basis, so once a month to me seems pretty restrained!

Evaka · 21/08/2024 17:13

Do the v same once a month. Self loathing binge eating, pick a wild fight with DP, wonder what's wrong with me and then come on.

lovelyhat · 21/08/2024 17:15

It’s so weird - happens to me nearly every month and always catches me by surprise like there’s some kind of built-in amnesia. You’d think after 30 years of periods I’d have figured this out!

Ahh well there you go. I pay it no mind now. It’s only one blow out a month and I’m pretty good the rest of the time so I tend to lean into the lack of self control!
