To be so embarrassed

I am on a budget but also like shopping in charity shops. Found some lovely smart, brand new, never worn shoes there and wore them today for my interview. Met the whole team and had a tour of the building. Got home and realised the charity shop price label still on the bottom of the shoe. Everyone will have seen it everytime I took a step.

I assure you they haven't noticed. I can only image they've noticed in two scenarios.

1. You had your feet up on the desk. - if this is the case, that was very unprofessional of you to do this😉

1. You were on your knees - not sure what may have been asked of you to get on your knees during the interview, but if this is the case, it's definitely not the kind of place you want to work! 😉

Congrats on the bargain, I'm sure you looked great and no one will have noticed the sticker I'm sure! Hope you get a good outcome soon

I went out for a night out with a big sticker on the arse of my new jeans that said £8 in massive figures 😬 luckily my friend noticed it before we'd gone too far. God knows how I'd missed it when getting dressed 🤔

I do this all the time. I'm constantly stopped in the street because the lable is hanging out of the back of my dress. It's usually a charity shop label.

Aw OP I just saw the post, I was reading through about to say that noone would have noticed, and certainly wouldn't have judged, when I saw you got the job! I'm so pleased for you, congratulations!

Budget or not, many people regardless or finances, shop in charity shops. My very comfortably off aunt, is always mooching in charity shops. I know someone who finds so many great items in them, and she's not struggling.

Anyway, I thought charity shopping was considered a virtue

I am lucky enough to earn quite a lot. I can afford very good shoes new if I want. I also buy a lot of my clothes in charity shops or via Vinted as do my colleagues. We'd just be jealous of a good find and count it in your favour. Congratulations on the job.
