To be really annoyed with DD's school

So last term dd had swimming with school on the last lesson her swimming costume went missing.
I still haven't got round to getting her a new one as the lessons had finished for good so I assumed she wouldn't need one until summer.
This evening DD comes home with a letter stating that the school had been able to get some more swimming lessons (which is great) but the first lesson is tomorrow at 9.00 am
So now DD has no swimming costume and I have no was of getting her one until tomorrow when it will be too late .
What I am annoyed about is the fact that they could have sent a letter a few days before the actual lesson .
It also means she misses the next couple of lessons as school is closed two Thursdays running

You've probably thought of/discouted this, but is there no way you can get to a 24 hr supermarket? they do swimming costumes there..i think.
Also could you give her/her teacher some money in an envelope and ask a teacher to help her buy one at the pool?
I have no experiance of schools, dd is only 3, just suggestions
I do think the school should have given you more notice tho, definalty.

At our local pool he staff will let you borrow a cossie out of the lost property - as kids forever turning up without trunks etc

Thanks serendippity but there is no way DP is at work and I am in the house with DD and a poorly LO.
Did try and get my sister to pick one up but she had already left town
