Doom day on holiday

Currently on a family holiday in Greece. Tomorrow is our final day and we have to be out of the room at 10am (no movement on this, already checked). We aren't getting picked up for our transfer until 6pm. We can use the pool facilities but I have a toddler and we've fallen into the habit of bringing her back to the room at various points during the day to escape the heat and have a rest.

I'm really regretting booking these flights now didn't think it would be a big deal at the time but I feel like tomorrow is going to be such hard work! Not to mention having to cart our luggage about with us all day. Any tips?

Go to the shop for some drinks/snack for your transfer, but mostly for the plastic bag 🤣 use this for damp swimwear after wearing your child out in the pool

There is a luggage room where we can leave the cases but it isn't secure so we will need to keep some stuff with us. Plus the things we'll need to get changed into etc later. We won't literally be carrying our cases around all day!!

No option to check out later, already asked. And no chance we're paying for an extra night. We will just have to get on with it I suppose. Luckily there are showers so we can freshen up before travelling.

Can you change the transport time and hang out at the airport if it has aircon and good shops restaurants and cafes?

I'm aware this happens often btw but I've never done it with a toddler. Not bothered when it's just me and dh.

Look at day rates at other hotels.

It's a pain, just have to make the best of it as you say. And re
it isn't secure so we will need to keep some stuff with us

Unfortunately you need to make sure one of you is keeping a careful eye on this at all times- a friend of ours had their bag stolen, of course it contained all their passports, travel documents, money.... nightmare. I'm afraid it's the sort of thing thieves are aware of.

The hotel will have somewhere to leave luggage surely?
Also they usually let you use a shower somewhere to get changed before your transfer.
Is there somewhere indoors to have lunch or a drink during the day?

Yes we will keep passports and money etc with us throughout the day.

Is there a mall with a cinema nearby? We used to go and see a kids film to kill a few hours in the air con.

Stayed in a REALLY bad hotel in central Paris once in the 1990s. think student, £3 a night each and dead mouse in wardrobe (,seriously!) Luckily only gor one night and we decided to get breakfast else where!! Even they kindly stored our luggage for us fir a few hours.

Presumably yours is etter than that so hopefully they'll keep hold of your luggage at the very least. Agree though it's very frustrating when there's a big gap between checkout and flight especially with small children

Do the hotel have a safe they can keep your documents in for you? Try asking.

Good luck
