AIBU to hate the ending of the Sopranos?

I have just finished all 86 episodes of the Sopranos (17 years after it aired, I know!).
AIBU to feel gutted that the writer didn't give us a proper ending (just a black screen)? I want to be told what happened; not for it to be left to conjecture!

I think it's an excellent ending to a superb series. I don't think everything needs to be quantified or spelt out.

It's so much better than so many other series, endings really are the hardest thing!

The creator has stated what happened to Tony and it's been discussed and dissected for years.

I think it was the right ending. Tony clearly died, we didn't need to see the gory details. I felt like fading to black was a more emotional ending than if we were watching his blood spattering all over a restaurant.

I'm re-watching it at the moment (still on season 1). Absolutely love it.

It's proper ending, it's brilliant!
