She smells different

I’ve noticed my 6 year old Dd smells different recently, especially her hair. I can’t really explain the smell, but it’s not pleasant, a sort of dry, strange smell, it’s even not long after washing it. It wasn’t like this before, does anyone know any reason for this?

@Lightsonthebalcony a pharmacist would be the best place for something definitive. But worth having a look to see if there are any slightly scaly/ white or slightly red areas. May look like eczema/ spots?

Also worth seeing what shampoo you are using, in case it is irritating or allowing product build up on her scalp?

Could she have got something stuck in her ear or nose that's decomposing?

Could she have a bit of cradle cap/dandruff on her scalp? My 7 year old sometimes still has patches and they smell a bit fusty.

Itchy all over - I would get her checked out with gp if that’s regular.

Are the sheets/pillowcases clean? The pillows inside the cases? No mold etc on the mattress?

So a day or two after washing her head, her head smells again? In summer? She's just sweaty and needs another hair wash.

I'm pretty sure the OP knows what her dc head smells like when it needs a wash. This is a different smell. She's not stupid
