Trinny and (nepo baby) daughter…

Long time fan of Trinny Woodall and her products here. Used to find her very relatable in terms of her high street styling etc but accept she’s moved on into her mostly designer gear now, fair enough, still can get some inspo.

what does irk me slightly is her feed becoming mostly a merry go round of which posho mate with an exotic holiday home she’s visiting now. And the constant shoehorning of her daughter into everything. Daughter seems perfectly nice, if lacking in anything interesting to say, and it all just screams nepo baby.

A shame, as I used to feel she was much more interesting to follow. Products are decent, though expensive.

And yes, before I get flamed, I have unfollowed her now 🤣

Realistically, most parents do everything they can to help their kids. Don't you?

Trinny is in fashion, I suppose that's where she can help her DD get a career?

Andy Murray's mum Judy was instrumental in his tennis achievements - I believe that the parents' marriage even broke up over her level of drive for him to achieve greatness.

I know someone who works in reception/admin as part of a team. She helped her 17yo DD secure a job in a related role there as well.

My DD applied for work experience. She couldn't believe she got a position as there were 10 applicants per place and I told her she should probably expect her application to go straight in the bin. She actually got a place. When she arrived for day 1, some of the others selected had parents working in the place. Most of her friends did their work experience in places where their friends' parents were able to swing something for them.

It happens right from the very best jobs, to completely ordinary jobs.

@7wwkw i get that and yes, suppose you are right! I think it just feeds my general, middle aged grumpiness about people becoming famous with no discernible talent other than having a celebrity parent. Yes Brooklyn Beckham, you can join the thread too….

Yes. I've noticed this too and find it irksome

I would add that being famous is quite a double edged sword. I don't really envy anyone famous. I might like their bank balance, but not their fame.

I too am thinking I’ll unfollow her due to all her fabulous holidays making me irritated 🤣 I liked her beauty posts which is why I followed in the first place!

I do like her products but did prefer her socials before she launched her own range when she was reviewing lots of brands - was really useful.

I agree OP, I think I’m going to unfollow. I’m very fussy about who I follow on Insta and have a general rule that if the account starts to post things that make me feel negative I’m quick to unfollow. I don’t need that shit! Tbh it’s been brewing for a while with Trinny; I hate the fact she has a face stuffed full of fillers and yet tries to sell miracle skincare products to normal folk, it’s all preying on women’s self image and insecurities and I’m starting to see her as little more than a snake oil seller. And no offence to her dd, but I have absolutely ZERO interest in her.

@ChanelBoucle thats how I feel. She’s starting to look kinda ridiculous..not great…

Think it’s common that some of these influencers start becoming irksome because they’re trying to appeal to normal people in the main and make themselves out to be relatable but in reality their wealth and resources mean that they’re just not! I follow that mama’s still got it account but starting to find her a bit irritating. An unfollow coming later today I think.

And lo, on the cover of bloody Tatler. Not just one, but 2 nepo kids nominated the new darlings of the unearned wealth shower.
