Evap line or pregnancy?

took a Superdrug test yesterday, one day before missed period. Waited 2 minute no.

Later saw a line I assumed evap’ no period still and then read the pack again that said wait 5 minutes.

Should I buy another test? Or are we thinking evap?

I have just taken this picture of yesterday test.

FRER is the worst test to buy. They were withdrawn from high street sale about eighteen months ago due to second lines being visible straight from the packet, causing a high rate of false ‘positives.’ The best and most reliable pink tests to buy these days are ‘Easy at Home.’

That was a batch in 2017. You can buy them in Superdrug.

They were withdrawn for good in late 2022/2023. They were discontinued in the USA too. You may well be able to buy First Response in Superdrug but it’ll be the Rapid Results rather than the Early Response.

Edit to add: No First Response products are available at Superdrug, according to their website. FRERs can still be bought online, Amazon and some independent discount chemists, but these are old stock.

I've had an evap line before. It gave me a real fright as I already had two under two. The next morning I took another test and it was negative.

Agree, looks positive to me but I would also retest to make sure!

Just wanted to give you all an update. Took two tests yesterday. This would have been 15dpo so unless I ovulated later which I don’t think I did, my HGC must be really low, which I must admit is making me worry. With my first the CB was showing as 2-3 at this point. Only time will tell I guess.

I had a nightmare with the clear blue tests with weeks. One day it would show 1-2 next day 4+, day after 2-3. Anyway found out this happens to alot of women with these tests. I would never use them again the amount of stress it caused me. Anyway went on to have a baby a term. Wish I hadn't used them. I recommend not to!

Oh god this is awful! I was going to buy another and retest. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to post. I definitely won’t be using a CB weeks test again. I’ve phoned EPU and because of history I’m booked in for an early scan in a few weeks. All I can do is wait now.

Theres a load of old threads where women had this problem with the cbd tests. I know it's impossible but try not to worry. If something bad is going to happen you worrying isn't going to stop it. Just don't keep testing and if you do don't use the digital week ones. I literally went insane because of them. I'm glad epau has agreed to see you. It's going to be a painful wait I have been there and know how that feels. I'll pray that everything will work out for you. Best wishes.
