to want people to pick up their dog poo?

I’m just sick and tired of lazy, entitled dog owners who don’t pick up their dog poo.

And I’m fed up with doggy people letting their dogs run wild in public, expecting everyone to be ok with being slobbered over or barked at when just trying to enjoy a day out.

I'm a dog owner and I agree with you.

Ah the weekly dog 💩 post 😀. Always pick up after my dogs.

YeOldeGreyhound · 16/08/2024 22:14

I always pick up my dog's poo. That is just a basic and essential part of having a dog.

I have never been slobbered on by a strange dog. Barking is just noise, and noise happens. So what?

I like the ones who pretend they are going to pick it up when the see that you are watching then pretend they can't find it and walk off.

Billyandharry · 16/08/2024 22:21

I agree it's vile. And why do people bag it then hang it in a tree? Also why do people push dogs round in prams now? Has the world gone mad?

To be honest, there have been times in the autumn when the ground is covered in leaves, that I have had to just give up looking.

Dogs in prams tend to be elderly and/or have mobility issues. Both still love to get out and walks.

The thing is the beautiful beach beside where I live is used by dog walkers constantly. That’s ok. But too many of them just let their dogs off the lead and walk, never looking round to see what their dog is doing - whether it’s pooping, running into people’s picnics, frightening small children, slobbering over sunbathers trying to get a little peace.

It’s infuriating.

The general attitude seems that everyone is expected to find these antics amusing and cute… and not mind about the filth left for some other poor person to walk in. 😡

YANBU, some delightful person allowed their dog to poo in one of the communal exits of our block of flats yesterday AND LEFT IT! 🤢

Luckily the area is tiled so a vat of disinfectant and hot water dealt with it .... but honestly!

Not This Again!!!!!!!

magicmushrooms · 17/08/2024 12:34

A dog comes near me uninvited I just yell loudly at it in an unfriendly manner, it usually gets the message. Owner is generally a lost cause.

The dog 💩 everywhere is just unacceptable as is leaving plastic bags of it everywhere.

Billyandharry · 17/08/2024 12:37

@SnowFrogJelly my thoughts exactly ever time I dodge another disgusting dog turd. Gross

Billyandharry · 17/08/2024 12:38

Well it’s unpleasant enough to be in the presence of a barking dog but my complaint is about being barked at by dogs when minding my own business in a public place.

That’s not only unpleasant but I find it also to be intimidating and distressing, especially when owners pretend not to notice and don’t try to control their animals.

How many comments before someone comes along to say humans are disgusting filthy creatures and they much prefer dogs…
strangely these people don’t seem that keen to go live in the wild, eat raw meat off the floor and be mounted by the nearest randy male!

HTH

AgileGreenSeal · 18/08/2024 11:29

So far 15% of people think it’s unreasonable to expect people to pick up their dog dirt.

seriously?

No wonder it’s everywhere. 😞

I always pick up after my dog, and he definitely doesn’t go and bark at/slobber on people. He doesn’t approach people when on or off lead uninvited.
I don’t understand people that don’t pick up after their dog nor those who let them off lead if they know they’re going to be a nuisance to others!
