Is there a sure-fire way of knowing I’m not in the running for this job?

Had a job interview for admin in hospital but haven’t been asked for any referees during the application process. They still haven’t asked about them now I’ve had the interview today and haven’t said anything about a dbs check either. Thanks

I don't ask for those things until you're offered the job. A DBS check that old can't be used for a new position unless maybe the same company.

They don’t do that till you’re offered the job. It’s then subject to references, dbs and whatever else is required. They wouldn’t do that for everyone interviewed, what a load of pointless work. They do it when the offer is made and accepted.
