It’s because Mollie-Mae and Tommy were the only couple from Love Island to get married and have a baby (as far as I know). It’s a lot of young girls’ idea of a fairy tale romance. They were extremely prolific; Tommy is a boxer and Mollie-Mae is a fashion designer off the back of her Love Island stint.

I absolutely agree with yours and other people’s sentiment that the priorities are wrong though! Especially about Gaza.

Wrong.. OTHER couples went on to get married and have Children. From Google...

  • Jess Shears and Dom Lever: The couple from the 2017 series married in May 2018 and announced their first child's birth in October 2019. They announced the birth of their second child in June 2022. Their wedding was streamed live on Good Morning Britain in February 2018, and they officially tied the knot in Mykonos in October 2018.
  • Olivia and Alex Bowen: The couple married in 2018 and had their son, Abel Jacob, in June 2022.
  • Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt: The series three finalists have two children, Nora and Nell.
  • Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey: The season two winners have two children, Freddie, born in 2017, and Delilah, born in 2020.

I honestly give zero shits about MM and TF splitting.

Yeah I know, someone is going to ask why did I even click on the thread yada yada yada! Spare me!

My DCs don’t watch Love Island but for most information and definitely for any kind of celeb swaddle the last place they’d be looking is the BBC. It’s so depressing that they are dumping this nonsense on people who actually use their service but don’t care about this sort of news in a desperate bid to appeal to a bunch of people who absolutely don’t care about BBC news
at all.

It isn’t the first place I go to now either though. Not since it stopped being straightforward news and it all got a bit “This Morning”. It used to be really good.

Haven’t seen any coverage on this?

I know, there hasn't been any coverage on national news that's for sure.
Here it is . . . https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdeyl3pkrdxo

Yousuf and Muhammad Ahmad

Police 'very concerned' about missing boys from Liversedge

Yousuf Ahmad, 13, and his brother Muhammad, 10, were last seen in Liversedge on Monday, police say.

yanbu

I have heard of them, I know roughly what they do and think they have a child. On the basis that they were married with a child, I’m sorry for them that they’re getting divorced.

but I have no idea why it’s front page news

It’s almost as if they want licence payers to stop paying 😎

Exactly!

''So-and-so SPLIT''. After they've been ''married'' for 3.1 seconds.
So-and-so GIVES BIRTH.
So-and-so STRIPS NAKED.
Who bloody cares?!
Not me!
