I'm seeing lots of social media posts claiming you can make a lot of money using canva etc to create awful looking colouring books & posters claiming they can passively sell 2,000 of them earning 3k a month etc

It's all a scam isn't it?

Has anyone here ever made serious money doing this?

Some people did make some money at some point.

But the vast majority of people won’t. That bubble burst a long time ago.

I do have friends with the sideline Etsy businesses, but most of them have design backgrounds.

If it's too good to be true..

It's not a 'scam' as such but yes it's incredibly difficult to actually achieve those numbers. The people behind those posts you're seeing probably make most of their money selling a 'course' to teach you how to do the canva stuff

No. But you might be able to make money selling "get rich by making digital content" guides to other people.

You need years of experience and superb education to earn £60-70 k pa salary
It is not just about one course. It took me 20 years to build my career
