she might have thought you had a hip flask to 'gin the geraniums' - y didnt you go in and make a cuppa for you both?

windygalestoday · 15/04/2008 18:19

blardy hell 4 hours of cleaning? is your house gleaming now?[deeply jealous emoticon]

TheLittleElf · 15/04/2008 18:20

Why didn't you make her one? I'm sure she would have really appreciated that whilst she was clearing up after your family

FAWKEOFF · 15/04/2008 18:21

sre you having a laff??????? dont you pay her to clean...not be your maid

WallOfSilence · 15/04/2008 18:23

The receptionist at work makes me a cup of coffee every day... I always feel really bad!

S1ur · 15/04/2008 18:24

Heh, Zippi gardens for other people folks. tis her job. And yeah, cleaner could've offered.

I had gardeners round today, I gave them tea and cake

pania · 15/04/2008 18:36

Maybe her employers are super mean and measure the level in the coffee jar every day?

Hmm, probably not though.

meglet · 15/04/2008 18:36

you have to be joking! she is there to clean and probably wanted to get on with it, not mess about making tea.

hifi · 15/04/2008 18:45

on fridays when my cleaner comes she has at least 2 coffees, any leftovers, or a sandwich. she will eat anything, if i put out of date stuff in the bin she fishes it out and asks to take it,now i just put it on a separate shelf with a post it to take.
she also comes on tues but only 3 hours so just has a coffee and half a packet of chocolat biscuits, she tells me when they are running low. i had dd easter eggs for her today and she ate a full on before she left.
she has NEVER made me a cuppa.

zippitippitoes · 15/04/2008 18:47

oh yes i was working as paid labour like her

but she makes herself coffee

so i thought she could have offered me some

har har har (someone ELSE'S cleaner?)

you bugger

how much do you charge anyway (you posted on this coupla weeks back)

I've just got a man in and I'm sure he's overcharging. And he can only come on a saturday which is no farkin good.

zippitippitoes · 15/04/2008 18:49

£10 an hour

so they get 4 hours non stop

OP posts:
S1ur · 15/04/2008 18:50

Well I'd have you ina shot Zippi mate, and I'd give you cake.

Monkeybird · 15/04/2008 18:53

blimey - he is overcharging. 20 quid an hour. he says ' you won't have to do anything in the garden for that'. But he still had no idea what aconitum/monkshood was (I think there is some and I want it out but it hasn't come up yet so I don't know which of the dead clumps to dig up)

zippitippitoes · 15/04/2008 18:59

i would have made her one no messing

OP posts:
moreJellothanJlo · 15/04/2008 19:16

she probably would worry about the employers telling her off for using more coffee

hifi · 15/04/2008 20:32

ah get it.
