Overthinking??

Hi all, I’m after advice, and hoping you can help.
AIBU- I’m overthinking it and have the wrong end of the stick.
YANBU - I’m right and I shouldn’t go.

I have been working with new people recently and got on well with a mixed group of people in the next department working in the same area. We all talk in meetings and I got talking to one guy about not having any hobbies but wanting to get fitter. He told me to come to a fitness class he goes to and later asked if he could give me his number and then proceeded to give me a piece of paper with his number on.

am I overthinking it that he just wants to be friends, as they seem like a lovely group and I’d finally love to have a life outside of work and kids to socialise or do you think this is a warning to be careful. I’m unsure if he wants anything more, I think he’s known for being flirty at times with the women.

im engaged to be married and really happy. He’s the only man I’ve ever been with so feel super conscious I’m reading signs wrong and wouldn’t want to be in a sticky situation.

I spoke to my partner and he said to go and have fun, but I don’t know..

thanks xx

Unless you have given signs you want more I suggest he is just a friendly guy. Go and get fit, don't flirt just be nice and if you feel the need talk about your fiance or wedding within context.
