AIBU to think that men who pee in public are disgusting and should be heavily fined?

I work in central London, the entrance to my office is on a small secluded side street, and it is an unusual week when I don't run into one man or another who has nipped into the street to have a pee, despite there being an open pub opposite and public loos 2 mins away. On my way home tonight, waiting to get the lift from the tube platform to the ticket hall, yet another guy whipped his dick out and had a pee onto the doorframe of the lift. When I pointed out we were yards from a public loo, he said "I have a weak bladder", and laughed.

You know who else has a weak bladder? Half the other middle-aged women I know. And yet we (usually) refrain from peeing in the street next to strangers.

All these men with their dicks in their hands will then go on to touch lift buttons, handrails, touch pads, etc.

Oh how I want them all to be arrested and given enormous fines. I am so sick of it.

I gardened for a woman who lived a couple of doors down from a pub and used to hate working in the front garden because the hedge was used as a urinal and was absolutely rank. She got rid of the hedge in the end and the issue stopped.

The smell of male piss makes me gag.

Allfur · 08/08/2024 16:49

Could it be a prostate thing?

Vegemiteandhoneyontoast · 08/08/2024 17:08

The prostate tends to be an issue with older men, not young men out on the lash.

We have men coming into our shared garden to pee against the wall regularly as you can see the bus stop from there. I've yelled at a fair few of them: there are several wee kids who play out on our green, including mine.

Disgusting buggers.

My mum has a cleaning company and has a few contracts in the city centre. The amount of piss (and sometimes shit) in office building and shop doorways during a weekend, is disgusting.
She uses the Zoflora pet stuff on it (I think it is the Mountain Air one).

I have been caught short myself, and gone into a bush.
One time, after a boozy night, I went in the centre of a tree filled roundabout and had what I thought was a sneaky wee. I did the deed, and turned round to see that my bare arse had been facing the road. Oops!

I feel like there needs to be a rule so you can do it on natural ground (i.e. soil or grass) but not on pavements, roads etc. It is completely different if it can just soak in, whereas on pavements it just puddles or runs, and bloody stinks.

I don't think this will help. This will just give men an excuse as to why they're allowed to do it in the middle of a busy high street but it's fine because there's a tree and grass or soil there.
(Using this example because i have actually seen this. Busy high street. Plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants all down the road. Man pissing at 5pm up a tree which is surrounded by grass on the verge)
Let's face it. If someone is hiding out of view in the woods/deep in bushes no one can see them anyway so no one would complain. The whole reason threads like this start is because men DON'T hide away.
I don't really want to see everyone pissing along grass verges during the day in public anymore than I want to see them pissing in shop doorways or lifts. It's not just about the smell. Although that's another issue in itself obviously.

I think that the 2 things that I take away from this thread is that
1/ there needs to be more toilets
2/ women have to plan their day out around if there are open toilets and if there aren't, they have to go home early. Men don't have this problem.

Kpo58 · 08/08/2024 19:38

Even in busy high streets there often isn't any open toilets. Small cafes sometimes don't have any. Pubs/large cafes/restaurants don't like people using their toilets unless you buy something. In central London they will lock the toilets to stop this from happening. Supermarkets in certain areas also lock their toilets as too many drug addicts use them.

Even my local park has locked their toilets so that people cannot use them. There is at least a 30 min walk to the nearest public toilets from it.

I don't care if they pee outside but more discreet/out the way then on a train station

Disgusting. What i also hate seeing are those blokes who walk around with their hand down their trousers! Not the ones in suits/jeans but tracky bottoms. I mean obviously their only scratching their inside of their leg!?! 😒 Why do they think thats acceptable?! I dont walk around with my hand up my vag. Anyway, ive started slowing down in my car so they notice me, and pulling a disgusted face, they soon get it and detach their hand from the knob/balls area and out the trousers

So many do this, particularly younger blokes. Disgusting.

Men, on the whole, have larger bladders than women. And yet it is overwhelmingly men who pee in public.

If women can generally organise themselves not to piss in front of strangers, and stink up the streets, why can't men?
