I have asked before... I am now asking again... mumsnetters, what are you having for lunch?

I had white rice with curried lentils, spicy cabbage, and chutney. I wish I had some sweet treats in but I don't so will probably eat a spoon of jam.

2 slices of toast, 2 poached eggs.

MrsStottlemeyer · 06/08/2024 12:57

Random salad using up the dregs of the fridge.
Three chicken mini fillets, a strip of halloumi, three new potatoes, five olives, cucumber, lettuce, peppers, grated carrot and dressing made of hummus, lemon juice and Greek yogurt. Was pretty good.

mbosnz · 06/08/2024 12:58

A boiled egg, a baby carrot, chopped into carrot sticks, cucumber rounds, miniature tomatoes, and some grapes.

Rebootnecessary · 06/08/2024 12:59

I'm at work so went to the bakers along the road and bought a prawn and salad roll and an apple.

Ilovegoldies · 06/08/2024 12:59

I had petit pois frittata and a chicken breast roll with 2 tomatoes.

yasminandtheredrose · 06/08/2024 13:00

A large bottle of energise innocent smoothie

holjam · 06/08/2024 13:02

A whole grain baguette with relish, chicken, peppers and tomato

GoTigers · 06/08/2024 13:03

Mini chicken breasts I’d marinaded in Rose Harissa and added to a salad of rocket, beetroot, spinach, cherry tomatoes, watercress and red onion with a desert spoon of tabbouleh chucked over for good measure.

Boogiemam · 06/08/2024 13:04

A tin of tomato soup, barely warm. Had a wisdom tooth out yesterday and terrified of it getting infected / dry socket so I'm on a liquid diet for a week 😭

ThatOneUncomfortableEyelash · 06/08/2024 13:06

I'm too late to edit my yoghurt frosting post, but I should've said that after I mixed it up, and before putting it on the cake, I refrigerated it for an hour or so to firm it up.

Now it's been on the cake for a while, it seems to have set in place a bit, so it doesn't seem to melt too much when taking the cake out of the fridge, slicing and serving it, or eating it.

Starlight1979 · 06/08/2024 13:07

Corned beef sandwiches (on tiger rolls!) with salad and salad cream. A packet of ready salted crisps and about to have a Blue Ribband 😃

cartreffi · 06/08/2024 13:07

I'm a bit obsessed with that cottage cheese and olive bread that's all over instagram at the moment, I probably make it once a week. So I'm having a thick slice of that with scrambled eggs

Buddysbunda · 06/08/2024 13:09

2 weetabix and a stick of kitkat dd gave me.

Hadn’t seen that beforeBut just looked it up and it looks so good!

Meadowfinch · 06/08/2024 13:13

Tinned sardines in tomato sauce, with salad and chunky wholemeal bread. Followed by a fresh nectarine.

It will take me a whole 90 seconds to prepare 😊

gardenmusic · 06/08/2024 13:13

M and S salmon and broccoli quiche, sweet potato chips for husband, sugar snaps, broccoli, sweetcorn and carrots. Cup of tea, and for me a chunk of Toblerone.

Scarlettpixie · 06/08/2024 13:15

Wholemeal toast, baked beans and hash browns.

Bluevelvetsofa · 06/08/2024 13:16

Cherries, nectarine, grapes and raspberries with Greek yoghurt, a drizzle of honey and flaked almonds. Was going to add an apple, but it felt a bit overkill.

sweetpickle2 · 06/08/2024 13:27

A large slice of granary toast with some tinned mackerel, salad leaves, and cherry tomatoes on and a cut up apple with a spoon of peanut butter on the side for pud.

Tisfortired · 06/08/2024 13:29

I had a salt and vinegar crisp butty and now I’m having some bourbons with a cup of tea.

HardyRoseSquid · 06/08/2024 13:31

Sourdough with cream cheese, feta and tomatoes

BeachBae · 06/08/2024 13:32

Crabsticks, seafood sauce
Olives
Cheese
Chorizo
A pickled onion
2 cheese triangles
Water

Sahara123 · 06/08/2024 13:34

Part baked baguette with enough sainsburys chicken liver pate to leave teeth marks 🤣 .Every time i have it i think of the poster who had pate as a “ centrepiece meal” and couldn't understand why a tiny packet shouldn’t last for at least two meals !

Sahara123 · 06/08/2024 13:35

For four of them i think !

jay55 · 06/08/2024 13:40

I had a packet of salt and vinegar squares and a handful of pic n mix. Highly healthy.
