All these EDL knuckleheads rioting in the streets is just terrorism? They're terrorists.

"unlawfully using violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
"a terrorist organization"

YANBU. Everyday people are scared to go to town centres. That’s terrorism. Just it will never get labelled that because they are white.

Sorry to hear about your dad, hope he makes a good physical and psychological recovery. The scenes from Birmingham were terrifying, much worse than the laughably deemed ‘Far Right thuggery’ people are being brainwashed about

Laughably? They tried to set a hotel on fire recklessly endangering life. Threw bricks at police officers, injured officers, injured police dogs. What’s laughable about any of this? People are scared to leave their homes.

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 07/08/2024 10:44

I’m happy to call it terrorism. I think it also falls into terrorist as described in the Terrorist act 2000

But the points are that when the pro Palestine marches took place and Jewish people had to get off the streets of London, they wasn't described as terrorists. The MET officers even told Jewish people that they couldn't guarantee their safety, so they couldn't walk around the area they lived in. There's been other groups who have shouted certain stuff and been allowed to preach hate and they aren't described as terrorists. If we throw the hatred of women in, fromsome grouos, then we start to have the calls of two teir responses.

These are not protests, these are riots, looting, arson, creating terror.

Two tier Keir is a right wing slur from those supporting the fascists. We see you.

I hope that not aimed at me because I will report you. That’s slander and I will take that further if aimed at me.

Jadedbuthappy82 · 07/08/2024 10:59

I take it none of you live in Bolton, Birmingham or Bournemouth then. The reality there/here is quite different.

Edingril · 07/08/2024 11:01

Oh the old 'it's all men' the women filmed there is just fake news or some AI mirage

MistressoftheDarkSide · 07/08/2024 11:01

I live in Bournemouth. How can I help?

ModernHijabi · 07/08/2024 11:02

It's terrorism plain and simple but because they're white it won't get called terrorism....

Slander 😂

HeyTalkToMeGoose · 07/08/2024 09:11

Two tier Kier 😂

Yes there is a concerted right wing effort by twitter/X and to destabilize the UK government response to these riots.

People have to be safe to live and work—the state has a literal obligation to keep the oeace. There is a pretty obvious difference between largely oeaceful protests marked by police repression—the Tory approach to ghe women’s marchers—and absolute brown shirt arson and battery in the streets aimed at murder and mayhem.

pikkumyy77 · 07/08/2024 11:05

Hey I’ve got a great idea—if you all don’t like the Tory response to pro palestinian rallies you should totally vote the Tories out!

L1ttledrummergirl · 07/08/2024 11:10

Paul2023 · 07/08/2024 10:55

Feel free.
Please explain how I have slandered you?

You could start with the definition.

LaeralSilverhand · 07/08/2024 11:11

Trials on terrorism offences are long, costly, and complex. There is an urgency to have justice seen to be done here, which means charging the knuckleheads with affray, violent disorder, or riot as appropriate - a quick trial and bang them up ASAP.

Reserve the terrorism-related charges, incitement, conspiracy etc for the instigators - looking at you Tommy Robinson, enjoy the beach holiday in Cyprus, it's going to be the last one in a long, long time...

CoffeeStars · 07/08/2024 11:16

Hurting people and businesses based on their ethnicity, nationality, background, etc is terrorism.

These fuckers don't care about those three murdered girls, only that it fits their ignorant and hateful white supremist agenda.

ghostyslovesheets · 07/08/2024 11:18

I think the issues that makes it terrorism is that’s it’s organised, targeted and with open and direct threats to damage, destroy and kill - calling for the murder of people is not a peaceful protest. If any of the pro Palestinine marches had the stated aim of burning synagogues, attacking Jewish targets or killing Jews they would fall into the same category.

i am not downplaying the antisemitism that underscores a lot of the marches btw

pikkumyy77 · 07/08/2024 11:22

The specific, stated, aim of these riots is to terrorize the population and effect political change through violence rather than politics and legislation. It is textbook terrorism.

Terrorism is a real tool used by outsider groups on the far left or right to destabilize governments that they otherwise can’t capture legitimately.

MistressoftheDarkSide · 07/08/2024 11:24

Still wondering what Bournemouth has to do with anything?

Bbq1 · 07/08/2024 11:25

GreyCarpet · 07/08/2024 09:31

No, they're not protests. How is smashing shop windows and throwing bricks going to 'get our country back'?

They're just violent, male thugs.

And it is terrorism as the intention is to cause fear and terror in the belief that their demands will be met as a result.

That's what terrorism is.

There are women and children at these riots.

BlastedPimples · 07/08/2024 11:25

Terrorists.

Did the BLM protesters try to burn down buildings containing people whose existence they objected to?

Yes
Police stations 🤨
White owned businesses, with people inside.
Making white people kneel before them and beg forgiveness for being white
Terrorising people on streets, eating in restaurants etc etc etc
That terrorising enoght for you?

GinAndBeerIt · 07/08/2024 11:28

If the thugs, hooligans and looters really want to stop the boats, then why not go to the bloody coast and await their arrival, leaving the rest of us law abiding people to go about our daily business in peace.
Wild I know.

wastingtimeonhere · 07/08/2024 11:30

I've just listened to the best part half-hour rant on the rioters that are part of 'the plan' . The government has stoked it up as part of the big plan to impose restrictions on all our movements, aka 25 min cities. Covid was the practice for all this. They saw how the population would give in. The plan to oppress the white population blah, blah, blah...I've gone for a tea break. It's monotonous...

pikkumyy77 · 07/08/2024 11:31

Uh—no. That really never happened.
