My son has a squint, he was referred to a hospital for about a year and was discharged recently and I was told by the NHS ophthalmologist they’ve done what they can. But problem is he still has a squint and tells me he can see 2 of everything. I took him to the GP who said they will have to refer again to the hospital and I could be waiting another year or so. The GP even said it’s very bad as his eyes were going outwards.
I really don’t know what to do I’m so confused but no one has time to talk to me. I even phoned local optician and they said next appointment is in 3 weeks and they can’t give me any advice until they see him. I feel I’ve really failed him and maybe I should go private?
im not a pushy parent and I think I need to be one to get things done.
