I know this is going to be unpopular but I am reading Katie Price’s latest book and I can’t help but feel the trauma she faced as a child has led to the terrible decisions she has made as an adult.

I am not condoning her behaviour but I have to admit I still have a soft spot for Katie, especially seeing how much she loves and advocates for Harvey.

Shes funny, ballsy, self deprecating and brave. I do think she could be neurodiverse.
She reminds me a lot of a friend of mine who experienced CSA around 11-12 actually.

does she actually abuse animals or is it more that she’s careless and sloppy and impulsive? Accidents could happen to anyone, I know someone who accidentally their kitten in the dryer, horrendous but not abuse.

What about her many drink driving, harassment, and revenge porn charges?

I think she is somebody with a lot of pre existing issues which made her very vulnerable to the abuse she suffered in some of her adult relationships.

She seems to have a good relationship with her other older kids and I’m struggling to understand how the younger ones have remained in their dad’s care after the video footage of them cowering in their room after having food thrown at them by his girlfriend.

She does however need to be accountable and I hope she sorts her life out soon for both her and hers kids sakes.

She was raped at the age of 7. It sounds like she has been through some trauma. She was on Elizabeth days podcast 'how to fail' and I thought she came across really well

Know people who had awful childhoods. They don't drink n drive, drive whilst disqualified, mistreat pets, had awful plastic surgery etc.

She cannot use her childhood experiences as excuses

I believe they are in the care of a relative and not their father at this point. Removed from her (and not for the first time) due to addiction issues and domestic violence that she exposed the children to repeatedly. I feel very sorry for those children.

I didn't care one way or the other about her until I saw footage of her teaching Harvey (about 9 at the time) the most disgusting awful swear words. She though it was hilarious. As he was repeating them.

I went right off her from that moment onwards.
I think she is a terrible Mother.

For me it was the sodding of on holiday the same day he was discharged from intensive care. Left him with carers.

I pity her for whatever she's been through that makes her make such a mess of her life and those of her children.

That's not the same as liking her or having a soft spot for her. I don't think I've ever seen her do a single likeable thing in her life. She's always come across as lacking responsibility, nursing a victim complex and aggressive if anyone doesn't praise her.

Parenting her disabled child is what she should do, it doesn't make up for the shit she's putting all the other kids through.

Being raped at gunpoint in 2018 may have caused some of her issues in recent years

When she was first robbed there wasn't a mention of rape though, that seems to have been added retrospectively.

That's no excuse for drink driving, drinking while disqualified, stalking another woman, breaking restraining orders, going bankrupt numerous times and the list goes on.

She might be good with Harvey but it says a lot that her other children all live predominantly with their fathers

She's had multiple dogs and a horse die by escaping her property and getting hit on the road (4 or 5 if I remember correctly). Some within months of each other and another dog who was constantly found on the road and later rehomed
She had a Frenchie that got crushed in a chair, bought another one and rehomed that less than a year later
other animals have been sold (she was advertising her sphinx cats when I gave up)

She was also roughly treating her dog in videos and there were elements of poor care eg a chameleon died and she said it died of a broken heart when her kids moved out but there was suspicion that she didn't have heating properly for it, and animals that she had but then never mentioned again which felt odd

There were lots of petitions when she around after the 6th/7th dog death

She disgusted me with her treatment of the animals on I'm A Celebrity too - I remember her throwing a lizard onto the ground. But she's hardly in a minority on that programme.

"No one is perfect" is such a poor excuse. If your parenting is so bad that your children are taken off you, you're just not a good person. She's a compulsive liar herself and she has neglected her children, her animals and put lives in danger by selfishly driving under the influence more than once!

I don't think Peter or her other exes are great either by the way but it's time to stop making excuses for her.

Katie price has always been marketed as a very pretty car crash, it’s her unique sale point, she’s marketed herself very well because she is indeed and people love car crashes (specially when they’re female, pretty and wear skimpy clothes), it stops being marketable when you’re no longer young and pretty, when you’re just … a car crash, end of.

I can't have a soft spot for someone who abuses animals, repeatedly uses drugs, uses her children and owes hundreds of thousands of pounds to people while flaunting having yet more plastic surgery.

I hope when she gets arrested it hits home that she needs to change, I doubt it will though.

Also , she drove while under the influence of drink and drugs on her way to get more drugs
If she had killed someone, we wouldn’t give a hoot about her childhood ‘trauma’

I saw a Tik tok gathering lots of moments of Peter Andre emotionally abusing her - at first I thought no no, this can't be true, then I watched them all and he was absolutely awful - really tried to bring her down a peg or two at any chance. Not surprised he is a huge age gap relationship now

He is obviously fake nice and insincere. However, this does not excuse her behaviour.
Tbf to Peter Andre she said pretty hurtful things to him on their reality show.

Exactly. I'm no Ant McP fan but he's apologized for his behaviour, is genuinely sorry for what he did and is trying to improve his life, very well done to him.

What he did was absolutely nothing compared to the never-ending rap sheet on slaggy Price.

I didn;t see the comment re Ant, possibly deleted - but seriously he went off the rails did one bad thing we know about - completely held his hands up and apologised (as far as I remember) and then was under the radar for a while -

SHE doesnt doesnt fucking stop! constant need for attention, filtering of images, pretending that shes a loving parent etc its all horseshit
