Just ONCE I would love to scream FUCK YOU. FUCK YOU ALL.

BUT to resolve tricky situations, involving tricky people (mostly men), I just CAN’T.
Why do they get to act like toddlers and I’m expected to keep my cool and pick up the pieces, for the greater good.

Before having an actual toddler of my own I had more patience for this shit, but so close to loosing it nowadays.

I am not your mother.

(Context: probably doesn’t help that I work as a project manager, in an industry with big egos.. plus difficult neighbours… whilst parenting a strong willed non-sleeping toddler… and looming peri menopause. Fun times. Fun times)

Feel free to join the rant.

Also, recommendations for alternate, more peaceful, careers utilising project management skills much appreciated.

Stop pleasing them. Lay down the law. It’ll be cathartic. If you have a chance as time will be tight but take a boxing class. Punch the crap out of the bags. It will also be cathartic. In terms of another career, look into working in the coaching industry. You could offer group sessions in corporate setting as a freelance management consultant. Look into the expert model. Use your skills to train others. You could also get into public speaking where you are paid to speak at seminars based around management.

@TipsyJoker thank you. I always call out poor behaviour, but what's annoying is that it happens in the first place.

Haha thanks for the job suggestion. Sadly I am abysmal at public speaking.

Boxing is not a bad shout. May also try swimming so I can silently scream into the water.
