Big breasts suck

BigBreastedCow · 30/07/2024 20:52

AIBU in being absolutely fed up with my big saggy breastfeeding boobs?! I absolutely hate when I see influencers or women in real life moaning (boasting) about being a member of the “itty bitty titty committee” when surely everyone knows they look better in clothes, don’t have to deal with huge, industrial bras, and back ache, and looking fat because of your chest.
How I envy woman who miraculously escape pregnancy and breastfeed with a small chest!

I have both problems - or solutions!! One of mine is barely an A cup whilst the other is an E - natural development, no medical issues just a weirdo!!🙃

velvetcoat · 31/07/2024 08:13

Totally agree. I've always had large boobs. I cant wear a simply cami top without strong scaffolding and even then it looks like I'm trying to look like a pole dancer.

Men talk to my chest, I was nick named Dolly Parton when I was 15 years old in my first job by my sleazy much older supervisor (this was back in the 90s before sexual harassment was taken remotely seriously). I've even had comments at job interviews about them, its awful.

I get that its a desired aesthetic but unless you have them you dont fully realise the stress of trying to look non sexual when thats what everyone sees no matter how you dress.

MaJoady · 31/07/2024 08:15

For those with back pain due to boobs, do you do back exercises?

I've found pilates really helpful for strengthening and don't get back pains anymore. I'd really recommend getting some exercises from a good physio or starting some pilates.

My favourite exercise recommend to me was:
Kneel on all fours, knees/hands are hip/shoulder width apart
Tense your core (stabilise)
Imagine bringing the front of your chest up to meet your back, you should feel your shoulder blades flattening and taking up some strain, but don't curve your back/ go into cat pose.
Slowly straighten and lift one leg and return back to kneeling, without moving your torso or hips.
Repeat with other leg.
If you find it too difficult with the leg raises, just practice holding your kneeling position. You should feel it across the shoulder blades and back

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 31/07/2024 08:15

I feel for you all. I was a 34K

As l got older l began to get crippling upper back and neck pain. Eventually a senior physio suggested a boob reduction. My lovely gp supported me.

I got one on the nhs at the beginning of 2016.

Best thing ever. Now a D cup. They don’t sag or droop. And 20 years of upper back pain has gone.

Thing is, when you have small boobs there are things you can do to make them temporarily look bigger (padded bras, chicken fillets etc) but when they’re big you’re just stuck with them unless you get drastic surgery.

I’ve experienced both as I was a late bloomer, had a couple of years in my mid 30s where they were great but they didn’t stop growing and now I don’t like them again. Just can’t win!

This.

I'm short with 36HH and look like a pigeon.

My hobby is watching old films from the 30s and 40s. People were so tiny and one reason those actresses looked so great in the fashionable clothing is that their breasts were very small. I'm so envious.

Stephy1886 · 30/07/2024 22:00

Yeah. Finding nice dresses & tops can be a pain

I’ve even started wearing sleep bras for comfort & now wear them around the house under a baggy top

I do too. Can't tell you the last time i was braless, even alone. Wear cotton knit sleep bras whenever i don't wear my quality underwires, because otherwise they flop uncomfortably. And mine aren't even that saggy.

It's so grim.

AddictedToBooks · 31/07/2024 08:34

I'm a 40F and have never had backache because of them - it is possible to get some decent bras online but I've found it's trial and error (my best bra was actually from George at Asda).

I do get what people mean though - I get a lot of staring at my breasts and if I dare wear a v-neck, it can easily look as if I've got everything on show (even though in reality a lot of my breasts are actually still covered) and if I wear anything that doesn't have a v, then I look matronly.

Boob sweat is a killer - I have been that woman sat in her bedroom, holding her boobs in the air infront an electric fan on full speed!

I used to moan about them, but I'm grateful for them - they're healthy and they make a fabulous extra holder if I'm trying to carry lots of stuff - I often have a book shoved in my cleavage as I go up to bed with a brew (I have mobility issues so need my other hand free for the banister).

Icecreamenthusiast · 31/07/2024 08:39

My problem at the moment is trying to get comfy to sleep with my 36FFs.

I can't sleep on my back as one falls off each side which is v uncomfortable. Can't sleep on my front for obvious reasons. So I sleep on my side, but my boobs are so heavy and saggy that they seem to take on a life of their own and the weight of one on top of the other smothers me, or I roll over and one gets stuck under me.....

Tried sleep bras and just end up ridiculously sweaty and smell disgusting.

So I have started rolling up a small towel and putting it in between them to provide a bit of support - sounds strange but slightly more comfortable that way.

Would love a reduction but just the cost is so prohibitive 😭

I also wore proper bras though.

5lb tissue was removed. Thats a lot of weight to carry up front. It was a physio that advised the reduction. I didn’t have pain at 40.

By late 40’s early 50’s it was crippling.

MrsToothyBitch · 31/07/2024 08:58

I hear you all so much. 5'2 and the smallest they've been since I was a size 10 at 19 is probably a DD. I had Bs at age 10- that's an uncomfortable look on a primary schooler. So they've never been small or easy to dress. DH feels bad for me and tried to find things that might help but he only came up with wearing sports bras more. I am a very femine dresser with a short neck and usually wear stuff with a scoop or a v neck to try and give me some neck. Sports bras don't work with a lot of my stuff. I cried when he suggested it. I am looking into maybe getting them lipo'd/reduced in a few years and DH would support me but I know he feels sad about it; he feels guilty for loving my boobs when I want them off. The only thing that worries me is lack of sensitivity tbh.

I also second the comment that it's not an automatic guarantee of a milk supply. My mum, my aunt and my grandma have never managed to breastfeed properly- not a decent supply amongst them. I refuse to even try because of this + generally fed up of all eyes on the boobs already anyway.

I'm sorry but the few posts from the itty bitty titty committee on this thread have enraged me. You can buy chicken fillets, put them in, take them back out and put a nice button through shirt on afterwards. You can take clothes in to fit your lack of cleavage and still have things in the correct size for your waist and shoulders. You don't have neck or back pain. You don't have to worry about your nipples grazing your belly button in years to come. Or how the hell to hoik them back up to wear they should be. You don't have the rashes, the sweat, the having to play heat spot or scary lump every month when you do your boob check and feel something on the underside. You can buy cheap bras and not worry about the washing machine wrecking them as it's the only thing you can get and it's £££. You can go into a shop and ask for the pretty bra on the manni in a lingerie dept in your size and they'll bring you the pretty bra that was on the manni, not something in the same print or colour but designed for a granny and devoid of any sex appeal because it may as well have "udder catcher" stamped on the front. People don't talk to your chest instead of your face. You can look elegant and sophisticated more easily; the lines in your clothes aren't ruined- don't forget catwalk models have barely any breasts. Booby models are viewed more as pin up girls and they're VERY different. The assumptions that come with the boobs are many and often under estimate or undervalue the rest of the woman.

I appreciate you may all sometimes put clothes back on the rack sadly and that horrible people may have bullied you. I don't underestimate the impact this may have had on you all. But frankly you're the fortunate ones - for so many reasons- and you ought to recognise that.

We're all fortunate as long as we have healthy breasts, really - but quite frankly you can take your tiny tit privilege and go stuff your own bras with it as far as I'm concerned.

Edited

I'm 47 and guess I'm just lucky - however I suffer chronic pain due to my disability so probably don't consider my agonising back pain to be due to my breasts as I have cervical arthritis and also arthritis of the lower spine.
My physio has never mentioned the size of my breasts - but to be honest, I wasn't trying to belittle ANYONE's feelings over their breasts which is why I tried to add humour to my post.

My beloved stepmum has breast cancer and we're due to find out what stage she is at today, so as long as my breasts are healthy, I'm grateful

LookItsMeAgain · 31/07/2024 11:40

How much does it cost to get a breast reduction? I find exercising with my 40E chesticles is very difficult. I'd love to go back to a C cup. I've heard terrible stories about women who travel overseas for this type of surgery and have really poor post-op care so if I were to go for it, I'd want to do it locally (Ireland or UK).

SaveMeFromMyBoobs · 31/07/2024 11:53

I'm now an L cup. L! Even most of bravissimo won't go that high. Can't do strapless. My shoulders are misshapen from the weight. I'm a size 12. Embrace them? They're insane and cause me so many problems.

@BettyBardMacDonald where do you get the cotton knit sleep bras from? I have only been able to source synthetic ones.

Yes, I know what you mean. I have “valleys” on my shoulders where the weight of various bra straps have been over the years. I think it’s permanent now.

Tisfortired · 31/07/2024 19:39

I hate mine too. 34F and a size 12. Have well fitting and decent enough bras but they cost the earth and I wish I could just pick up a normal pretty bra without trudging to the ‘DD+’ section at the back of the shop like sort of troll. They make me look much bigger than I am and nothing ever fits well.

They have plagued me all my life. I hate being topless even in front of DH and I hate it. Wish I could afford a reduction.

Edited because I forgot to moan about the absolute longing to take my bra off at the end of the day - but I can’t because of how uncomfortable it is to not wear one. The sweat and the fact I can’t move position without them flopping about.

BettyBardMacDonald · 31/07/2024 19:53

@nameynamenamenamename

Amazon; i think fruit of the loom.
I've also purchased soft nursing bras to sleep in, in desperation.

labamba007 · 31/07/2024 19:55

I hate mine. I look huge, feel uncomfortable, I'm
A size 12 on trousers and 16 on top, but nothing fits right, I have back and neck ache and just generally feel very self conscious.

GingerPirate · 31/07/2024 20:07

Yes, they do.
They're forever sensitive and in the way 😁

chloworm · 31/07/2024 20:36

I'm glad I have small breasts (b cup) now I'm in my 40s. I hated it as a younger woman though. I felt so inadequate and unsexy. One boyfriend even told me 'you'd be the perfect woman if only you had bigger boobs.' What a charmer! Soon got rid of him. Now I am grateful I don't get the pervs talking to my chest. Honestly, why are men so obsessed with fat over mammary glands? In general, women do seem to have much bigger boobs these days though. Can't be good for the back. Hopefully GPs will become more sympathetic and be more willing to suggest reductions if health is affected. The things us women go through!

theonlygirl · 31/07/2024 21:36

Yep. Yep they do. so many nice clothes I can't wear. So self conscious my whole life of them being looked at. They're not massive, but I'd rather thed have been half the size.

Testina · 31/07/2024 22:01

I felt so inadequate and unsexy

I’m sorry you felt that, @chloworm

My experience with large breasts (I was the only girl in primary in a proper bra and just kept growing…) is that plenty of men stared at them, and made “cor look at those” type comments. Even “nice” 🙄 comments like “great tits”.

But I’m in my 50s now and I can tell you I’ve had a lot of sexual partners and not one has been a “boobs man”. Not one. A few have liked legs, and almost every single one has wanted to comment on and touch my arse. But not a single one has had any interest in boobs. I think it’s just something that The Sun told them was “sexy” - but I’ve found so few men genuinely into breasts.

Of course I may be a statistical blip and everyone here will say different!

I used to think, FFS, I’ve got all the downsides and they don’t even make me sexy. Nowadays, I’m older, wiser, and give many less shits about what a man might find sexy 💪

I'm so sorry you went through that, it must have been really hard for you. However, this thread is for the women who are genuinely struggling with the issues that having large, heavy breasts have caused them. I've had chronic back pain since I was 19, I was sexualized at age 13 because of them, sexually assaulted, demeaned and self conscious. It's so so tiring, I sometimes feel like a freak. And I've really appreciated a thread where we can have a bit of a moan and some solidarity from other women who know what this condition is like, with no judgement, and to feel like we're not alone in feeling like this.
