The rubber seal is covered in crayon stain. I’ve tried the pink stuff, vinegar, bicarbonate, etc. Nothing works!

Is…is anyone going to see it? Does it matter?

I think that would be tricky. If there was anything you'd have found it by now. You could look up the right Stain Devil for crayon as a last ditch attempt.

Otherwise, wash something white, cotton and disposable with colour catchers, at 40 and 60, to check if you get any colour transfer. If you do it might need a new seal, if not it might give you confidence to carry on using it ok. This time of year people will be throwing out outgrown polos, PE tops etc.

There comes a point where if you've cleaned something enough, you know the colour is stuck in fast and not going to suddenly leach into your clothes. You could carry on using colour catchers to be on the safe side.

Try washing up liquid and white vinegar. That seems to get rid of every stain I've had.

Exactly what I was going to say. If you can't shift it, it's not going to transfer onto clothes.

90°c wash, no clothes, no detergent. You should be safe after that.

(And it would help with any stink in your machine from detergent build up.)

Scrape?
