This lovely boy has been missing too long. The media awareness has been very low, and we must all help. There has been a huge interest in another missing person case, now sadly resolved, but please mumsnetters, please join me in helping to find Jack. 💙

What shocks me about this case is that if Jack was a woman this would not have been out of the media since the disappearance and the police would have come under far more pressure to resolve matters for his family.

As it is his family are saying that the police have not investigated thoroughly.

Imagine if this was your son or daughter. He has just vanished.

Women disappear all the time and don't get constant media attention. So many people go missing every day the media can't possible be reporting on each case every day until its solved.

I've been sharing his missing posters on FB for months. It's incredibly sad and I don't know why there hasn't been more coverage. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

If he went into the river can they dredge that or would it no longer be there?
Or, is there belief he has been kidnapped?

River has been searched. It's tidal so if he had have fallen, likely not there now. Low tide that morning according to reports.

I saw this case in the media a few months ago - so very sad. Hoping he is found soon and that he is safe. Can’t imagine how his mother must feel.

Sensitive subject alert.

Not a nice subject , but some people are talking about tidal rivers.
There was a young man that was missing . He left a friends house early hours of the morning after taking some drugs & had his dog with him . The dog was found running along side the river , so it was suspected he had fallen in .
A hunt was quite thorough , police , public , rescue teams drones & police helicopters , but he wasn't found .
Many months later , he was found just outside the harbour ( sea ) by a dredger boat doing their normal job .
