I started feeling a bit off last Wednesday. As the days went on a cough emerged, really quite bad and then a fever every few hours. Yesterday I managed to go out for a walk and thought I was turning a corner but I’m now on the verge of throwing up, have thrown up once and the other end is not good either. I feel so bad. I’m on my own with two dc too and have to collect them at 3pm. Is this just a normal bug? I’m never usually unwell and I’m panicking a bit

Perhaps covid apparently new variation has gastro issues.

Yes sounds like Covid, myself and my son have been the same.

Sosickk · 22/07/2024 11:45

Sounds like the last twice that I've had Covid. We all had the same symptoms in our house but only half of us tested positive oddly.

Alternatively you could have been run down, got a cold/cough followed by a stomach bug?

Krupkrups · 22/07/2024 11:50

Covid.

Sounds like what I had a couple of weeks ago. Cough and runny nose I thought it was a bit of a cold. Then full blown flu-like illness for about five days tested positive for covid. I feel for you up it was horrendous. 3 weeks on I still have tinnitus and a blocked sinus.
Don't push it would be my good advice as it will just set you back. I managed to pass it on to about 10 people at a family gathering so feel really bad. Luckily they were all mainly octogenarians and very up-to-date with their jabs so have all recovered far quicker than me!

Oh God you guys are scaring me! I have a nasty cough/patchy fever and now am terrified of it developing further! I assumed it was Covid but testing clear. I could really do without another major lurgy - I've had so many already this year. Wishing everyone gets well soon!

Another vote for covid and given the numbers at school with it recently, it sounds exactly like the current variant.
