Airport

Travelling home with 5 year old DS from a beautiful holiday yesterday evening. Got to the airport and making our way through security when a couple in front with an older pre teen child started arguing. Man was pushing face into his wife and cursing, and pointing his finger etc. Wife was arguing back. The young son was standing in watching between the pair and heartbreakingly didn’t appear frightened by it. I was trying to shield my son from seeing but as in an open queue this was hard. My son said that dad said: repeat expletive. I explained that that wasn’t appropriate way to speak to anyone and we agreed on that but I have been shook up by it and also feel bad that no one, including me intervened.

Happens a lot on holiday.. couples arguing and shouting / swearing
In resorts/ the supermarkets/ beaches/ round the pool.
Some just don't care.
Coming home from our Villa last month.. an older couple arguing and shouting and swearing on the plane.. the cabin crew did have a word.
They just show themselves up and no manners.

I think it was the child I am most affected by. He looked lost and to see his father be so aggressive to his mum must be horrid.
I think my feelings are skewed as I am a single mum and although my child’s father is fully involved in his life, I just cannot imagine my son witnessing such aggressive behaviour between his parents.
