Any mention of banning trail hunting in the King's speech policy document?

Thought Labour had promised to ban trail hunting but can't find anything about it?

Haven’t seen anything about it either and would be interested to know.
I know the local hunt in my area reluctantly switched to trail hunting but it is an open secret that they still kill foxes in the most horrible way.

OP organisations like the League Against Cruel Sports have released statements expressing disappointment that such a ban wasn't in the King's Speech.

I doubt very much that anything will happen in this parliamentary session. I also doubt whether this is a priority for the Labour party.

Because Labour said they would in their manifesto, because its seen as a screen for illegal hunting.

It's a fake sport that is just a cover for illegal foxhunting. They claim that they lay a trail for the hounds to follow - this is a lie, no such trail exists.

Not to be confused with drag hunting, which does use an artificial scent and isn't foxhunting.

The hunt near me is very arrogant and makes no real secret of it. I'm sure there are some that have tried to play by the rules.

Because it's easy to turn a trail hunt into a fox hunt.

Thel have to work out how to legislate what's ok and what isn't. There's plenty of bloodhound packs who follow a live runner (human) as their quarry. That's obviously fine, and TBH bloodhounds aren't as bloodthirsty as foxhounds and won't get distracted by any fox scents, they just track what they're put onto. Foxhounds are notorious for failing even on drag hunts when they get a live scent.

There needs to be compromise so that wildlife is protected but also so that jobs and some of the traditions and way of life is too, and I am hoping that government is looking into this.

There is lots to do, hopefully we will see it next year.

Trail hunting is a cover for Fox Hunting, which very much still goes on.

We also need tougher punishments for fox hunters, Hare Coursers, Killing of Raptors (personally I would ban all Grouse Shoots as well), and Dog Fighting

YANBU, it needs to be banned.

Don’t want animals harmed but would be pissed off if parliamentary time was give. To this when there is so many more important things for them to do.

I agree and would like to see stag-hunting banned as well.
