Has anyone noticed that since the election furore has ended, certain posters have gone very quiet? 🤔
YABU- it's purely a coincidence
YANBU- I noticed aswell!

In all honesty I hadn't noticed at all.

roundspongecake · 17/07/2024 21:17

No not really

FuzzyStripes · 17/07/2024 21:17

Not that I’ve noticed either.

KatiesMumWoof · 17/07/2024 21:19

Shushhhhh I'm enjoying the peace from certain posters

AzureAnt · 17/07/2024 21:50

It will start up again when Starmer starts turning the screws 😉

mrsdineen2 · 17/07/2024 21:52

They're too busy with their promised moves out of the country,

Haven't noticed. What posters? Which ones?

MeinKraft · 17/07/2024 21:55

Do you want me to start a thread about private schools to cheer the place up a bit OP Grin

Bakersdozens · 17/07/2024 21:57

Which posters? I expect people changed their names for political and election posts, and then changed them again after

ThinWomansBrain · 17/07/2024 21:58

maybe they're all MPs now?

Papyrophile · 17/07/2024 22:02

I'm just waiting for the big ideas that they might propose, I've spent years here being shouted down. But I am looking forward to all the solutions.

ElevenSmiles · 17/07/2024 22:04

Who are these certain posters ?

K0OLA1D · 17/07/2024 22:05

They might have kept their word and buggered off!

WhatMe123 · 17/07/2024 22:05

It does feel a tad calmer on here maybe over the last 5 days or so 🫣 doubt it'll last though. Still a few school funding posts knocking about though 🙄

All of us women who got erased by the GE outcome, presumably.

Papyrophile · 17/07/2024 22:12

@ElevenSmiles, over the years there have been about 15-20 posters who weighed in every time on any vaguely political post. I am asuming they've gone for a deserved holiday and will return in September. Hopefully with happy memories, and an increased understanding that being in power doesn't mean automatically give you a free pass.

DisgustedSocialCommentator or whatever her alias was. Tory prop.

No-one got erased, don't be daft. More women in the HoC than ever.

No, you must be mistaken. As soon as Labour won I ceased to exist. I vapourised at some point around 4am when the landslide was confirmed. Damned inconvenient tbh.

You’re lucky that you vapourised. I’ve been forcibly turned into a man and I’m too scared to empty my bladder.

otnot · 17/07/2024 22:22

Does seem oddly quiet, came looking for thread about the king's speech but couldn't find anything. Politics section is all about the US. I would've thought there'd be more excitement about the new government and hot discussion about their policies, from both sides.

DameKatyDenisesClagnuts · 17/07/2024 22:30

Yes, since Labour 'got in by the back door' (😂) there has been a distinct silence from certain quarters

We should never forget that the "Hard Left" "seized power"... by winning a democratic and free General Election.
