When do you brush your teeth? Dh says it's nasty to wait till after coffee. "I'm drinking all the bacteria" so he says. I wait till after I've had coffee as I don't like coffee breath and don't really feel my mouth is gross first thing.

Supposedly you should brush before eating/drinking anything, as you do get a build-up of bacteria overnight.

I usually brush first thing, then use mouthwash after breakfast (you're also not supposed to use mouthwash or rinse immediately after brushing as this washes away the fluoride).

In the evening I brush about half an hour after dinner, and use mouthwash just before bed.
