Someone from OLD who I'm meant to meet for the first time Monday, have only spoken to them on the app so unsure what they sound like.

They say 'like' after every single sentence. It's a regional thing, I'm aware, I do it myself sometimes.

However this man does it constantly.
'yeah my evening was good like', "yeah I enjoy my job like', 'the film was alright like' , 'yeah I'll probably go there like'.

I mean every single sentence.
Would this put you off?

Does he star in the responder?

Choochoo21 · 13/07/2024 19:01

No this wouldn’t bother me.

I would carry on and see what they’re like as a person.

If anything else annoys you then call it a day.

That's just normal in my area 🤣

Onelittlebluefish · 13/07/2024 20:44

It’s clearly irritating you and you haven’t even met the guy!

mondaytosunday · 13/07/2024 21:05

As @Sagarmatha says - are they actually typing the word? I can see if it's a regional thing but that's a verbal tic, not something you type out.

My Liverpudlian relatives talk like this...but they don't type it! That's really weird. I'd hate it personally, drives me bonkers when talking to my cousins 🤦‍♀️
