Dark line down thumbnail

Hoping someone can come along with experience/advice. I am almost 3 weeks postpartum (not sure if relevant or not)

I have noticed this dark line down my thumb nail. Has anyone had this? Its not sore and I didn't knock it on anything

Over the last few years I would get acrylics/biab on and when I put my hand into the nail light it would have always hurt (again not sure if relevant or not)

I've attached a pic. TIA if you get this far x

It's probably nothing but I'd be getting it checked out by a dr as it can be a sign of skin cancer

@Hoardasurass thanks yes i'll speak to GP about it. Maybe it will go away on its own🤷‍♀️😬

Definitely get it checked by the Dr. Hopefully nothing, but don’t take chances.

Please please please make an apt with the gp. Tell them your history of using uv nail lamps. It could be absolutely nothing or it could be cancer of the nail bed.

Thanks all for your replies.. I am going to ring my GP on monday morning & hopefully get an appointment for this week. Here's hoping its nothing serious 🙏
