To be annoyed that I haven't heard yet whether I got the job

I applied for a new job within my current company recently, there was an assesment day last Friday. We were told that we would hear something at the beginning of this week - I knew that was unlikely but did think I would have heard something by now It's particularly difficult as I am on maternity leave, do not around the office to get an idea of what is going on, and feel as if I have been forgotten about

Why don't you ring them?

hertsnessex · 11/04/2008 16:50

sounds as though you should have heard, maybe call them?

LazyLinePainterJane · 11/04/2008 16:52

It's shit isn't it? DH had an interview for a job and they told him that he would hear within 48 hours, only to be told 4 WEEKS later that they never had permission to take on someone else!

It is MUCH worse when it is your current company though. I think a lot of people are just not very organised.

KelaS · 11/04/2008 16:54

I have thought about it, but if they had decided they would have told me - although they are crap at making the decisions etc, I know they wouldn't leave me hanging if they had decided, so not much point. It is within the (small) department I currently work in, and I have a good relationship with the managers, so I know they will be in touch, its just frustrating not to know

Thats crap leaving you hanging on,especially if they said they'd be in touch, how annoying..think I'd have to ring them but there again I'm very impatient.
