Whitney Houston was far too overwrought for my taste and her ott rendition changed the whole meaning of Dolly's gentle little break-up song.

Neil Diamond put emotion and passion into Red Red Wine, whereas UB40 just changed the rhythm and sang the words. Their version doesn't feel real and personal in the way that Diamond's version does.

Susan Boyle’s Mad World is haunting. Not saying it’s better than the original, but it’s beautiful nonetheless.
