My parents have been doing a lot of work on our new house and have arranged for a family friend to come and fit a security alarm system. It’s hundreds of pounds more than we had been quoted for elsewhere. Family friend is already doing it as we speak- only just been made aware of it right now. I’m really grateful that they were trying to help, but we can’t really afford the expensive price and would have had to save for it. AIBU to ask what to do?
