to bin the Sticker Club chain letter

my 2 y.o. (ffs!) has received this asking her to send a packet of stickers to name number one etc and in five weeks she'll receive 36 packs blah blah blah. I'm going to bin this rubbish but I know the mother who sent it will think I'm a complete killjoy - do I need to tell her I've binned it?

No - she won't know if you have or not. I've had one about knickers (ffs I can buy my own) and I ignored it. I've got better things to do with my time than post knickers to complete strangers.

c0mfort · 10/04/2008 23:26

ppie · 11/04/2008 15:31

JackieNo · 11/04/2008 15:34

It's never unreasonable to bin a chain letter.

ginnedup · 11/04/2008 16:44

I think that you had to send new ones - not dirty ones but even so. I really didn't like the thought of it!

TurkeyLurkey · 11/04/2008 16:48

Oh I got the knicker one too ages ago and pressed delete immediately (think I didn't read it properly though and thought I'd end up with a load of old grey saggy apple-catchers - didn't realise they were brand new ones!).

ginnedup · 11/04/2008 16:54

Oh - brand new apple catchers - that would be different then

TurkeyLurkey · 11/04/2008 16:55

LOL Ginnedup!

well my dd2 really wanted to do this sticker club so we had this going around the class for months - I sent it out to people thinking it was up to them but I didn't see the harm in sending stickers to kids as it would probably make their day but I always bin adult chain letters. Anyway no-one I sent it to did it so I was abit miffed that my best friend couldn't send my dd a cheap packet of stickers - we would have done the same for her. It's not unreasonable to bin it but not unreasonable to let your kids take part in it. As for the knickers ??? What are people thinking??
