To take DD out of school 3 days earlier than planned for holiday

Quick what would you do

Going on holiday soon, saved up for a year to pay for it. Holiday we wont get chance to do again.
Norovirus doing the rounds at daughters school, children off from every year of the school.
Would you take child out 3 days earlier than planned to try ensure she doesnt catch it just before we go, or if they do get it, hopefully have 48 hours clear before we go.

She would miss 5 days of school in total (Including days we are away)

YABU - dont take her out early, im been paranoid
YANBU - take her out early

To add, I wouldnt get fined as its 10 days here for a fine.

Take her out, it isn't a big deal.

I would take her early. Who's to say that if she gets it that it will clear quickly. She could be sick alot longer and miss the vacation

It is definitely 10 days in our area, both school and council have it on their website. We are, from August, going to 10 sessions (five days) for a fine though under the stricter rules......
