I went to the hairdressers with dark blonde hair with highlights and lowlights, it was dimensional with lots of ribbons of blonde through the hair (done by the same hairdresser). I went to my appointment and was booked in for a full head of highlights and/or low lights. I asked to go darker, and showed him the following photo but I kind of glossed over the photo in favour of explaining what I wanted: https://i.pinimg.com/564x/79/14/a3/7914a34ef0babf0ed235326595433b5c.jpg
I had been so happy with my hair the previous appointment that I just presumed he would know what to do, and maybe I should have been much more direct when explaining. I've come out the salon and my hair is quite a dark brown, all my highlights have been covered and I can only see a few tiny sprinkles of lighter colour throughout. He spent an hour adding low lights in foils and said they would break the blonde up, but instead the blonde seems to have been nearly completely covered. It all looks very flat and one shade, I could have gotten the same result with a box dye.
I paid nearly £300. I hate complaining and feel guilty, but WIBU to go back and ask them to fix it? I'm happy to pay but feel awful. I thought I liked it in the salon so was positive about it and gave a tip, it's only in daylight I can tell. I really like the hairdresser and I know they are talented, so want to keep a good relationship with them and don't want to come across as a difficult client.
