Tumble drying ikea rug?

AIBU to tumble dry an ikea tiphede rug?
It's cotton, the care label says hang to dry but can I put it in tumble dryer?
Anyone done it?

No I wouldn't tumble dry it. Can you not wash it and hang it out to dry on a bright windy day and then just air it indoors.

I washed some curtains in the machine recently which said dry clean only. They were fine but I wouldn't have risked putting them in the dryer after.
