Is anyone else having pop ups about viruses? I’m on my iPhone and never had it happen before but has happened a few times tonight and only on Mumsnet. I haven’t clicked on the link but it keeps happening.

The giveaway here is that the background says Android, but the popup says iPhone.

Are you on a website that does this? If so, stop visiting that website.

WhatWouldJeevesDo · 06/07/2024 21:23

Yes. Me too. On here.

HappiestSleeping · 06/07/2024 21:25

I didn't spot that it was mumsnet. Report it in site stuff. I do not get this.

TulipTuesday · 06/07/2024 21:26

I had this too, about 15 mins ago.

SwingTheMonkey · 06/07/2024 21:32

Yes I just had one from apparently from mcafee. Never happened before

Cattenberg · 06/07/2024 21:37

I’ve just had this pop-up whilst on Mumsnet.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 06/07/2024 21:37

Yes. On mn. Apple iPhone 14 something.

turnipsarelush · 06/07/2024 21:38

I thought this was some kind of covid thing

Jifmicroliquid · 06/07/2024 21:39

Yes, it’s happened on Mumsnet a couple of times to me tonight.

sleepylittlebunnies · 06/07/2024 21:40

@HappiestSleeping I’ve had this phone over 6 years and have never had a pop up before. I’ve been on other sites but it’s only happened on Mumsnet on AIBU and just started tonight. Will post on site stuff as you suggest, thank you.

😂😂 I've got Malwarebytes installed on everything, and it often gives me 🔥WARNINGS 🔥 whilst on Mumsnet, presumably prompted by dodgy adverts. But it's never said my devices were infected by Covid!

sleepylittlebunnies · 06/07/2024 21:49

Have posted on site stuff now.

Have posted on site stuff now.

I still think it is odd as it had the reference to two different types of phone.

I would suggest that you clear all cookies and site history in your browser as a start. This should be done every day or so anyway.

sleepylittlebunnies · 06/07/2024 22:03

@HappiestSleeping I cleared site history and have now cleared cookies, thank you.
