To delay TTC for 3 months extra OMP?

DH and I planning to use shared parental leave again as worked really well for first DC.

We have been waiting until he started his new job so that he would be eligible before starting TTC. So I was now excited to start this month- however we checked his contract and realised that he would actually be entitled to three months of shared parental leave on full pay if he worked there a year by the week of EDD. However this means waiting another three months to try...
He would get shared parental pay on the leave anyway- it will be more tight but doable. I was 29 when I got pregnant with my first and nearly 33 now. First time around got pregnant first month, miscarried, and then immediately became pregnant again. I wondered if it was foolish to wait given I'm getting older, might not happen straight away this time, and I could end up miscarrying anyway.

I’d delay I think…3 months won’t make much difference in terms of your fertility surely and the extra money will be handy. You got pregnant v quickly last time.

For the sake of 3 months I would delay.

100% wait. 3 months is hardly any time and 3 months off on full pay would be great for all of you.

I was 36 when I got pregnant with my first. I waited 6 months so I'd get full maternity pay at a new job and was glad I did as I got pregnant the first month. I just had my 2nd at 40 and got pregnant the 2nd month so I'd definitely wait

Absolutely wait, honestly. 33 isn’t old and 3 months won’t make a difference
