Why does his Google history show he was at an industrial estate at night

Last night I was on Dh’s phone-not snooping…initially at least. I was turning lullaby music off that he and our dc had fallen asleep to.
It showed the travel history of where he’d been/been driving etc. I just thought it was quite interesting at first, don’t think I have it on my phone or if I do, no idea how to access it! I started looking and it was all pretty boring-travel to work, certain shops, cafes etc, a friends house. One entry from last Sunday shows him going out in the evening driving for 30 minutes, it says here no location/location not shown. Then from around 10.30-11.30 pm, it shows a location and when I looked at it, it’s an industrial estate. This is really strange isn’t it?! Making me so paranoid, what would you make of it?

You'll have to ask him. He might have just driven to a random location and parked for a while for a bit of space.

Nachosanddips · 06/07/2024 18:17

We take it in turns to do DD’s bedtime as we stay with her in bed, so there’s no point both doing it together as we’d never get a break. If Dh is doing it I watch tv or sit in the garden, but could also go to a gym class or see a friend, but I’m mainly too knackered! On some of his free nights he’ll go to his mates, he sits in the garden with his friend, listening to music, having a beer or a smoke for a couple of hours and comes home. He’ll probably message me before going that he’s nipping to his house (message so as not to come up and wake up Dd) but he doesn’t always and may nip out to the petrol station etc, I’m not really bothered if he doesn’t always tell me exactly where he’s going, not sure if that’s weird or not 🤷🏻‍♀️
This location does seem weird though

So do you mean one or other of you sleeps with DD all night every night?

Nachosanddips · 06/07/2024 18:25

@Sunnydiary Yes at the moment, that’s not really the point of the thread though 🤷🏻‍♀️😬

Wickes midnight sale? Pizza place or takeaway? Some takeaway business now operate from industrial estates as the rent is cheaper and the vast majority of their clients were only asking for delivery.

So many people seem to do this. They should get the Ferber sleep training book and reclaim their evenings.

There was no need to quote the whole of the OP.

On the app there is no option to only select part of a post. 'Reply' automatically quotes it all.

CombatLingerie · 06/07/2024 18:27

A horse box you say? @BoudiccaOfSuburbia how very enterprising of her. I can’t get my head around this ‘just nipping out at late hours of the night’ It seems a strange thing to me OP but hey ho if it’s your normal.

ElleintheWoods · 06/07/2024 18:28

Burying a body obviously. Have you not seen Godfather? 😋
Sorry I know you’re worried but I’m sure there’s an innocent explanation and couldn’t resist seeing the funny side.
Will you ask him?

Bumblebeestiltskin · 06/07/2024 18:28

My immediate thought was prostitute.

bonzaitree · 06/07/2024 18:29

Honestly I wouldn’t say anything just yet- if he’s up to anything he’ll start covering his tracks.

Did you go through the rest of his phone? Messages, calls?

notacooldad · 06/07/2024 18:29

At the bottom of Google search I remember there used to be a note as to your location, and mine was often 20+ miles out.
How strange.
I've never had it inaccurate and I cross reference mine every month and have done for years for my car mileage expenses and it's never been out.

Nachosanddips · 06/07/2024 18:29

@CombatLingerie Maybe it isn’t normal then, I don’t know? Do your husbands go to the pub or visit friends in the evening or just never out in the evening? I don’t know, maybe I have been naive and he could be up to all sorts? Should I be saying he has to stay in, I’ve no idea

It sounds like a "massage" parlour

My mind doesn't usually go to the worst outcome, but this was my first thought.

They definitely operate on industrial/trading estates.

HarryKanesDrool · 06/07/2024 18:31

Any more for any more?

Prostitute
Kebab
Wickes Sale
Man love
McDonalds
24hr gym
Furries
Drug Dealing
Drug Taking
Me time/Sleep
Craft Ale
Takeaway
Dogging

May as well just ask him.

Willmafrockfit · 06/07/2024 18:31

it could be wrong
but i think you should show him his phone and the google maps

TheGreenKnight · 06/07/2024 18:32

RomanRoysSearchHistory · 06/07/2024 17:04

Is there a drive thru or something? If not, there's only two other explanations. Hookers or drugs.

In 30 minutes?

Duckingella · 06/07/2024 18:32

Does he have Pokémon go on his phone?

Dinnerdinnerchickenwinner · 06/07/2024 18:33

OP you have bigger concerns than worrying about what's on his phone and coming online to discuss it. The fact you have not asked him shows communication between you both is non existent, that's far more worrying than a burger seeking Furry after a shag in a carpark.

MouseMama · 06/07/2024 18:33

I don’t think you’ll know unless you ask him. It could be something completely innocent like he was driving home and needed a wee and pulled over and then decided to sit in the car and listen to a podcast before driving home. Bit odd but possible and not alarming.

I think the options are :

1 just ask him but you might not get an honest answer

2 drive over there at night and see for yourself, if there a few other cars there you might get an idea if it’s a local spot for drugs/hookers/podcasts

3 keep an eye on his location for next couple of months and see if it comes up again, if it’s a regular thing then it’s less likely to be innocent but then if it is a (paid?) woman then it might not be something he does very frequently

This is me moving in a perfectly straight line in Wales. I always have location switched on and there's no record of me getting there or getting home to London

I have a similar random event in the Netherlands as well

Nachosanddips · 06/07/2024 18:33

What does ‘Missing travel’ written in red with a question mark by it mean? This was before he arrived at the place he stopped at for just under an hour?

OP posts:
LiterallyOnFire · 06/07/2024 18:34

@OneTC could it be your battery went flat?

CuppeDramad · 06/07/2024 18:36

Dh and Ds1 were clearing out Ds1's uni accommodation and when they were travelling in the same car together it showed them at completely different locations on Google Maps, I almost took a screenshot because of where it put Ds1 compared to Dh. It can ping you in a different location to where you actually are.

On my Google maps timeline it also had me managing to get to Salzburg a journey of 702 miles in a mere 14 minutes. I have never been to Austria. So it can be completely innocent just incorrect.

Nachosanddips · 06/07/2024 18:37

He doesn’t have Pokémon Go, he’s 45 😬
Realy don’t want to drive there at that time at night, but feel I need to, where would I say I was going though? Considering I rarely ever go out in the evenings, only occasional girls nights, I’d never venture out at 10.30 on my own, it will seem very strange
