Why does his Google history show he was at an industrial estate at night

Nachosanddips · 06/07/2024 17:00

Last night I was on Dh’s phone-not snooping…initially at least. I was turning lullaby music off that he and our dc had fallen asleep to.
It showed the travel history of where he’d been/been driving etc. I just thought it was quite interesting at first, don’t think I have it on my phone or if I do, no idea how to access it! I started looking and it was all pretty boring-travel to work, certain shops, cafes etc, a friends house. One entry from last Sunday shows him going out in the evening driving for 30 minutes, it says here no location/location not shown. Then from around 10.30-11.30 pm, it shows a location and when I looked at it, it’s an industrial estate. This is really strange isn’t it?! Making me so paranoid, what would you make of it?

Good on you for letting us know! I’m glad it’s an anticlimactic ending to this mystery.

PyongyangKipperbang · 29/07/2024 23:47

If you dont care, that says everything you need to know.

You have already emotionally removed yourself from this relationship. So I would strongly suggest you physically remove yourself too. This will not improve, he will carry on but your whole dynamic is now you as Mother and him as Child. He will live as a teenager with you (his new Mummy) doing his washing, the cooking etc. And that will be set in stone no matter how much you earn or how often you are at work.

He will not want to split, as they never want to lose their new Mummy That They Can Shag, but I think that you must.

@ThePearlSloth They don’t smoke the whole lot in one go

Crikey?! Why go to an industrial estate to smoke weed? There must be somewhere more salubrious. Lol
I guess I smoke it at home, but don't have kids. I'm glad it wasn't anything horrible!

Wishicouldlovemyself · 30/07/2024 00:23

@Nachosanddips he shouldn't be driving at all if he's smoked weed. Drug tests that the police carry out can detect if you've smoked it within the last 3 days. It's illegal to drive under the influence of drugs (at least in the UK).

Sorry was watching Love island (crap) and phone charging, not very exciting, I’m sorry, but also something that pisses me off and is quite embarrassing in his 40’s-buying weed

Sorry it wasn’t more interesting

Apparently just being in a room with me would likely cause you to implode with embarrassment as I'm 45, play Pokémon Go and occasionally smoke weed.

You're entitled to your own opinion obviously. And weed is illegal in this country so there is a risk of legal consequences but you sound very contemptuous of preferences and decisions that don't match your own preferences and that seems a potentially corrosive thing for your relationship.

letsjustdothis · 30/07/2024 01:18

Honestly I'd prefer my partner to be having an affair than smoking weed in an industrial estate car park at night.

Especially as he wouldn't risk killing someone driving home.

MegsNaiceJam · 30/07/2024 02:02

Smoking weed in an industrial estate, so driving under the influence and much more likely to be caught due to furtive night time movements. Just smoke it at home when not going to risk killing someone whilst driving.

I'm a criminologist, specialising in missing people.

There's been no suggestion, as far as I'm aware, that OP suspects her DH of stealing catalytic converters or scrap metal. What an odd suggestion.

I highly doubt he was "practising his handbrake turns" either.

If you think the pimping out of trafficked women in liminal spaces in and around every town and city in Europe is the stuff of fiction, you need to get out more, and have done for the last 35 years, sorry.

Kindly, I think your head is very deep in your work…!
I’m also experienced in this field and although people trafficking is more prevalent than people acknowledge (nail bars and car washes anyone…?), it isn’t a daily event for people to ‘deal’ in trafficked people in industrial estates. Likewise, keep them captive in said containers, thankfully.
I’m not sure why you think the suggestion of stealing catalytic converters or metal are odd, when they are extremely common crimes, both especially so on industrial estates, unlike your assumption of people trafficking which seems like a bit more of a reach…!

Classic how there's still LTB die hards even though the only thing that was going on was two middle aged men smoking a spliff!

Well I think quite a few people are rather sceptical about the explanation OP has been given.

RomanRoysSearchHistory · 06/07/2024 17:04

Is there a drive thru or something? If not, there's only two other explanations. Hookers or drugs.

Fight club?

You'll never get him to admit it though, because of the first two rules.

@StJulian2023 Can it make lots of mistakes like that? 🙏

Yes, it regularly tells me my phone is in Belper - which is miles away and I’ve never been there.

Well if you're not going to smoke in the house and you have to go elsewhere it probably will be a random car park. They're not going to go looking for a National Trust beauty spot or something are they?

Apfelkuchen · 30/07/2024 08:32

Feels like an acceptable lie.
Did you smell weed on him, his clothes, his car? It lingers for days.

What, contemptuous of illegality?!

Are you really going to try to get down on her for that?

Well this was quite a reach, twist and stretch to deploy the LTB advice regardless.

IrisDenver · 30/07/2024 08:52

Food and then got chatting or sat in his car and played on his phone or checked his emails, looked at property etc.

My initial thought wouldn't be prostitutes and dogging or drugs.

What is sad is that you can't talk to him about it so that already indicates a relationship that isn't doing well.

Nachosanddips · 30/07/2024 09:39

They don’t smoke it in the house because of kids, but do smoke outside in the garden. They were going to pick it up and had some. I believe it and am not against smoking weed (he barely drinks or goes out in big lad groups drinking) this is his relaxation I guess, I just find it a bit grim & dodgy

Ah ok sorry - I misunderstood from you saying ‘they smoked it there and then’ - so he had some left? I still think it’s highly unlikely he was sat in a car smoking weed if you didn’t smell it when he came back. Maybe he just needed some ‘me’ time on his own. Who knows…

edit: just seen your last post. Fair play. It is a bit grim and dodgy.

I mean, we’re all thinking dogging right? But in fact it’s probably something really boring, like he was practicing hand brake turns. Men can be weird

😂

TipsyJoker · 30/07/2024 10:22

Nachosanddips · 06/07/2024 17:21

It’s very strange there’s only one entry there though if it was something regular and dodgy? I may drive there at night but am quite scared to, tbh
There are cafes and petrol stations around but why stay an hour it’s odd
Hope it is a mistake
Should I keep trying to check his history without him seeing, if I ask he’d obviously turn it off

Don’t say anything yet. It might be completely innocent but it might not. It’s weird it’s only there once. It’s weird it’s an hour. It’s weird to sit in an industrial estate at that time of night alone. However, maybe he was parked there for peace and quiet to scroll on his phone or read. Or listen to music uninterrupted. You don’t want to wrongly accuse him of anything. I would def drive there at the same time myself. You don’t need to stop but just take a drive around the estate and see what’s happening there. Maybe check his phone to see if there’s any weird activity on there. Check the bank to see if he took any cash out before going there. You’d have to pay a prostitute in cash.
