Hi

Not an AIBU , but for traffic !

Moved house 2 years ago - didn’t vote last year . This time last year was a hard time - can’t even remember it being voting day .

Me and my husband strongly want to vote . We have had no cards come through . I emailed about this and was told we are not registered to vote at this address . They asked if their was another address we may be registered at so I gave my old address and have heard nothing back.

If I go to my local polling station with ID , but I’m not registered at this address , will I not be able to vote ? Should we go to the local polling station near my old address with ID ?

Not sure what to do , but feel very strongly about using our votes this year .

Thanks in advance !

You might be able to get an emergency proxy vote by contacting your local council election team.

A proxy vote is a vote on behalf of someone who can't make it in person; nothing to do with this situation.

If you’re not registered to vote there’s nothing you can do other than register in time in the future.
