People who say “he/she/it gives me the ick” are the definition of the ick.
just one of those things I cannot stand hearing. That’s the first time I have wrote it down and I feel like I lost brain cells

I hate it too.

I've grown to like "it's a vibe" because I started saying it ironically and now its not ironic. Oops

So with you on this it's a pointless, stupid saying.

I think it perfectly sums up a feeling that is difficult to put into words.

I used it this weekend to describe how I feel when I see the metal prong that goes into the leg of a mannequin in shops. It just gives me the……ick! 😂

“The vibe was immaculate” is another one!

Whilst I agree that it's a horrible expression, it is handy shorthand for an emotion/state of mind we all recognise.

100% agree. I hate it.

First time I ever heard this phrase was in an episode of Ally McBeal many years ago! Never heard anyone use it in real life though.
