To want DS's toy back?

A few weeks ago a few friends and their dcs were at my house when one of the children (not mine) picked up a heavy toy and threw it at a little girl's head. She had a big bruise and was whisked to the doctor but was fine. My friend took the toy to show the doc - and hasn't given it back. It's one of DS1's favourites...AIBU if I ask for it back?

She's probably forgotten. Of course YANBU.

Bit of an odd thing to do, to show the doc the toy. IMVHO.

God no, get it back ! It's not your fault, or your dc's, so he shouldn't have to go without. Just really push the "it's his FAVORITE" toy thing to show the urgency and that you're not being a "that's mine and I want it back" mummy!

she didn't need to take the toy in the first place - seems a sneaky way to borrow a toy lol
