Spread your own legs. Push his legs out the way

Alllllthemunchies · 02/07/2024 13:38

I hope you know him for his leg to actually be touching yours!

Killingoffmyflowersonebyone · 02/07/2024 13:40

I hope that's a dodgy camera OP....because no ones legs should be that orange! Is he a secretly Oompa Loompa? If not, you may want to ask him to move them before that awful fake tan rubs off on your trousers!

LittleGreenDragons · 02/07/2024 13:41

I hope you told him to remove his sweaty leg off yours! Loudly!

Precipice · 02/07/2024 13:41

Do you have some warm coffee you might accidentally spill on him? If only he hadn't been taking up some of your seat, he might have been safe?

missshilling · 02/07/2024 13:42

Is there enough space for him to sit any other way?

Is it your husband/partner?

stayathomer · 02/07/2024 13:42

I have a friend who does this too, and having recently been on holiday have had tons of women do similar. Some people are just oblivious!!!!

GHSP · 02/07/2024 13:44

I was on a plane so nowhere to go. And not sure he spoke enough English. So I wimped out. Manspread-man was in a middle seat but didn’t encroach as much on bloke on other side.

B1anche · 02/07/2024 13:44

Go to cross your left leg over your right but keep going and cross it over his left leg and leave it there. Hopefully he will find it so creepy he will immediately get up and find another seat.

GHSP · 02/07/2024 13:47

Have now landed so free of manly leg squish. And no not any relative just a stranger. With lots of leg on leg contact 😕

OP posts:
keylimedog · 02/07/2024 13:47

Looks like his legs might actually be a bit too long - but he shouldn't be imposing on your space like that! Especially not full leg on leg contact!!

Honesty on a plane I'd have quietly gone to the toilet but spoken to an air host / hostess and asked them to perhaps come down the aisle and "spot" it if you didn't feel comfortable asking him to move.

You mean he's not your partner?? That is very, very creepy, OP!

I think I am going to start a business designing clothes for women with sharp spikes on the outside in strategic places. not very long spikes, but just enough to deter idiots like this.

MeanGreen · 02/07/2024 14:05

Doesn’t look like his legs would physically fit behind the seat in front.

Is he slouching down in his seat or sitting bum right to the back of the seat?

Awful that he’s encroaching your space, but it does look like his legroom isn’t enough.

GHSP · 02/07/2024 14:20

He was slouching as he had fallen asleep. He could have booked a seat with more legroom. Or even just moved his legs together?

@pandasorous I will be your first customer. I would like to order some thigh spikes which can be affixed over normal trousers or a skirt. I’d also consider clothing panels which administer a mild electric shock, so that the lady wearer can express mild surprise at how much static she is producing today, for a less confrontational option.

Just for a moment imagine if your ovaries were outside your body, dangling between your thighs. Sitting with your legs tightly together would be a most uncomfortable position to be in for any length of time.

Even a seat with longer leg room wouldn't give more width to spread sideways would it? Still, there's no excuse for invading someone else's personal space.

DumbassHamsterSitterPerson · 02/07/2024 14:35

Weird how my long legged adult sized male children manage to sit without doing this. It's not always comfortable for them, on buses they sometimes choose to stand instead. So I don't but the excuse that their legs are too long/bollocks are in the way.

Plenty of other men manage it. Or are you suggesting those men aren't "manly" enough? Or why do those dangly bits only need freedom when sitting next to women and not other men? Hmmmm 🤔

Will they be like this?

I will buy.

Sugarnspicenallthingsnaice · 02/07/2024 15:23

Shame you let him get away with it.

If this happens to you again, cross your (in this case) left ankle over your right thigh so the sole of your shoe is resting on his leg. Push if necessary.

If that's not possible (due to wearing a skirt for example) put your bag on the floor and push it right up to the 'boundary', shoving his foot out of the way.

Not OPs or any other woman's problem though is it? He wouldn't do it if it was a man sitting next to him

I may have to try this in future. I love it.
