www.findjackosullivan.co.uk/

It is now over 100 days since 23-year-old Jack O'Sullivan went missing on March 2nd 2024, following a night out in Hotwells, Bristol.

Jack, having attempted to get a taxi home, was last seen on CCTV on the morning of March 2nd at approx. 3:40 am walking up the Bennett Way slip road heading back towards Hotwells.

Jack's phone was still active and placed him at an address at 5:40 am in the Granby Hill area.

His phone continued to be live on the network until 6:44 am.

Nothing has been seen or heard of Jack since the early hours of that morning.

He walked around in a circle @CatMumSlave. That suggests that he wasn't heading home. Why was he going down to that little park by the river? Was he meeting someone there? Was he lost? Or was he just intoxicated and wandering around aimlessly?

Unfortunately I think he was intoxicated/drunk and has ended up in the water, like far too many other young men before him. I hope he's found so his family have closure.

TheShellBeach · 04/07/2024 11:29

This is such a sad case.

gojumpjump · 12/07/2024 10:01

Has anyone seen the update about the suitcase remains found on the bridge in Clifton. It seems to suggest it might be linked?

DM again!!!

They print photos of Jack then put this:

During a press conference last night, police confirmed that a senior officer has been in contact with the family of missing law graduate Jack O'Sullivan 'to inform them of the incident'.
However, 'no parallels are being actively drawn' between the two cases, officers said.

It is very sad, but in all likelihood, he drunkenly ended up in the water.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 22/07/2024 23:25

I agree, it's incredibly likely he ended up in the water.

I am intrigued to know why the police didn't search the accomodation of where the phone was last pinged though.

The not knowing is the worst.

That website should be a template for all missing people going forward.

Sadly the water theory looks the most likely though.

EnglishBluebell · 23/07/2024 06:37

May I share a theory/shot in the dark?
I don't know Bristol, I've never been but I did watch that video retracing his steps and I'm really taken by the end where he's on that raised road with fast moving traffic. I wonder if, god forbid, someone hit him (a car) and in a panic and have 'disposed' of the body. It says he was out of view of CCTV at that moment (unless I misunderstood the captions on that video) so it's not completely out of the realms of possibility.

EnglishBluebell · 23/07/2024 06:43

Re: the website, I agree it's outstanding. They really have given it their all. I hope whatever happened that he hasn't suffered. Poor sweetheart 💔

perimumma · 23/07/2024 07:44

I live close to this area. As heartbreaking as it sounds, I do think he's gone into the water, why else hasn't there been any sightings/ contact?

My heart breaks for his family, the 'not knowing' is the worst.

Apollo365 · 23/07/2024 07:48

Thank you for this, I hadn’t heard of his case. I am now going to follow the Facebook page

I sadly agree I think this is most likely as well, and absolutely agree that the lack of closure and knowing what happened is awful- torturous even.

That said, it does seem that there have been lost opportunities since he was reported missing, I hope this hasn't made the search harder. I followed the disappearance of Leah Croucher as it seemed so bizarre for a young woman to be heading to work and vanish into thin air. Police also delayed looking into CCTV, looking for witnesses etc because she was last seen on the phone by a body of water and they assumed she'd gone voluntarily. Sadly she was found in an attic in a house near to where she went missing years later.

Hoping he's found soon.

Channellingsophistication · 23/07/2024 08:26

Good to raise awareness of this case. I had only heard of Jack recently as he was mentioned on a Jay Slater thread. I recall no mention on the National news at the time.

Praying family get some news. I read over the weekend they have now hired a private detective so hoping that will help.

@BrigadierEtienneGerard i’m also in Berkshire, I would be interested to know of the case here.

It wasn't a house, Jack's family have been there and found that it's an electricity substation and the electric company own the land. They called the electricity company who confirmed that the police have never requested to search the land

Ah ok. Thanks

It’s such a shame that he has hardly got any coverage at all! I hope now the word starts to get around and someone comes forward with some info I couldn’t imagine what his family are going through 😢

paisley256 · 04/09/2024 17:39

So pleased to finally see this case being discussed in the media the last few days.

I think the family are frustrated because the police had made their minds up early on he went into the water and wouldn't entertain any other ideas. But then Jack's mum found him on cctv another 2 times that had been missed by the police. It shows that he'd made it away from the water I believe. They did have to fight to get the police to release this cctv and valuable hours were lost in searching for him.

It seems he left the party and was trying to flag down a taxi to get home and sadly may have got lost - it looks so confusing looking at the roads and the route he took . Also 14 weeks after he went missing it was revealed from someone at the party that Jack may have banged his head whilst at the party - don't know why this wasn't revealed at the time. So many questions.

Also the police won't share the phone data with the family because of privacy laws but the phone is infact registered to Jack's mum not him so they're desperately trying to resolve this.

I know so many people go missing but this family have basically turned into detectives looking for their son. I'm so gutted for them, his mum is showing so much strength in the appeals on TV recently I honestly don't know how she's doing it. Wish they had the answers they desperately need.

Lanawashington · 02/07/2024 11:07

His family are trying to raise as much awareness as possible. He was walking on a route along a busy road so they are desperate for any dashcam footage or sightings. Anything that can jog people's memory is a good thing

It has barely even made it to the news. BBC last wrote about Jack on 14th May and nothing since

His family must be broken.

He looks like a lovely lad. Just going missing is beyond comprehension isn't it. Not find any of his stuff & how long his phone was connected to the network.

@CatMumSlave

I think it's great to do these threads, you never know whose mind it may nudge. Someone must know something. Even if they don't realise it.

big love to his family getting some answers ❤️

paisley256 · 04/09/2024 18:08

Yes I think it's so important to try and get attention brought to this case because it's had hardly any and he went missing in March. His family have worked tirelessly to try and get his story out there they deserve to know what's happened to their son.

ElsieMc · 04/09/2024 18:32

I only heard about this this week when his mum was on BBC breakfast news. She spoke so well. I do understand the family are frustrated by Apple who will not release any details, air tag or otherwise as I understand it. They also feel that the police are withholding some information and a complaint has been lodged. I am pleased you started the thread op as it raises awareness.

I do hope they get some closure.

musicalfrog · 04/09/2024 19:41

The police never seem to learn sadly. Time and again, always things missed or delayed in misper cases 😔
