I know exactly what you mean Twiglett.

Are we both just lazy

But it's the crumbs at the end that make the matter worse isn't it!

diplodocus · 10/04/2008 10:16

It's the fact I'm rubbish at cutting that bothers me. Really embarassing watching my poor DD 2.5 trying to get her gob round a sandwich the thickness of a breeze-block.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 10/04/2008 10:18

We have a bread board with slots in it and a tray underneath to catch the crumbs. May I humbly suggest you need one of those?

Also, you could invest in one of those whizzy slicey machines with a spinning wheel like a sawmill. Oh god, it's never-ending, this gadget thing, isn't it?

Well, there is a reason for the saying "best thing since sliced bread"

Me too twiglett. The crumbs are the worst.

thomsc · 10/04/2008 10:42

This is what you want - a fiddlebow knife

the link is to a US site, but someone gave me one from the UK. I'm sure you'll see them now you know they exist.
