To turn down a second date ...

Long story short... On our first and only date he told me that he'd been engaged a few times and then how his ex had him In and out of court for money throughout their only child's life to 18 years . He saw his child eow but always had his mother and sisters to ' help'.
I decided there and then that I don't want a second date based on that.
I'm surprised at the amount of people in my life that think I'm too hasty.
I think I've dodged a bullet!

Absolutely no way I’d go on a second date with someone like that. Hard no

Birdseyetrifle · 30/06/2024 06:51

God no, he’s sounds rather pathetic. I didn’t think the court got involved with child maintenance so I would assume he’s not telling the full truth there. Strange thing for him to bring up too!

Those people who think you were too hasty must think very little of you. I would be very offended.

rodhame · 30/06/2024 10:32

I'm in Ireland so if they don't pay maintenance you have to keep bringing them back to court at your own expense
